Piatra Șoimului — Hotel in Sinaia

We spend 4 days end of September, they had a special offer for accommodation ' pay 3 nights and get 1 free ' which leaded to a decent price overall. We took the superior room situated at the 3rd floor. Room 12 was nice, with balcony but room 13 I do not recommend it. ( no balcony, not so cozy as it is very long and not so wide).|I had some problems with hot water ( very difficult to adjust, the water is getting very hot without any notice, for children it is not suitable ).Also the WiFi wasn't working and the mobile coverage is poor.|Large back yard with a nice playground for kids, also an inside playground available. The view is amazing and breathe taking.|The downstairs restaurant is good, having traditional Romanian dishes but also some interesting raw vegan deserts. The prices were above average and as a downside the service was kind of slow. It looks like they grown-up beyond guest house status and not yet organize at hotel level. I know that when you search for tourist locations, there are suspicions about the veracity of the information published on various sites. Personally, I am suspicious too. But, as often happens in life, there are cases in which reality really resembles what you saw on the site (in a good way). And Piatra Soimului-Sinaia is such a case. I discovered it in 2024, when I came -somehow by chance- to have a meal, at the KUIB restaurant. Everything was superlative (and I am not exaggerating): ambiance, pleasant and kind staff, very good food, decent prices. I later returned several times also for a meal and this year I discovered the location, in its entirety: pleasantly furnished rooms, terrace, garden, playground for children. Everything, complemented by a superb view and tranquility. As if made for maximum relaxation. It is suitable for both couples and families with children. We have "tried" it twice already. TRY it too! We spent one night. The staff is very friendly. They helped us to charge our electric vehicle. The room was clean and nice , with beautiful mountain view. The restaurant is clean, the breakfast was good with international food. We had a good dinner , also. They have a playground inside and for summer days outside with spring board and stuff for children to play. The surroundings are quiet. The Enescu memorial house is walking distance. ||There are 2 weak points: first is low water pressure in the evening and the 2nd is at restaurant when we asked for the 2nd tap water and the waiter apologized and said that she is not allowed to do this again, we can only order bottled water.
