Very good hotel for a short stay at a decent price! The receptionist was very friendly and provided all necessary info about the facilities and the surcharges. I asked for a quiet room and they honored my request by providing a room not facing the road. The room was renovated and with a decent size. It had a balcony and a small fridge as well. Bathroom was a little bit small and had only shower gel in it. Wi-Fi with good speed was available at all levels. We booked the hotel because of the convenient location (on the main road to Bran & Brasov), and due to the free parking that's in front of the hotel. Peles Castle and Sinaia city center are just 5 min away from the hotel by car. The best part is the restaurant that works almost 24/7, so you can get a late dinner and an early breakfast at a reasonable price. The food was delicious and coffee was good. They have plenty of choices for breakfast, lunch and dinner with some local dishes that are worth to try. For dinner, I had Sarmi and the dish was very tasty with additional cabbage and mamaliga as a garnish. In the morning we had poached eggs and a soup of meat balls. The funny part was that 1 coffee and cappucino cost the same as the food we had for breakfast (~23 RON). Overall a good value for the money if you travel...
Read moreI stopped there as I was driving for too long and it was getting dark already. It's a road motel right on the DN1 main road. I wouldn't actually book a reservation there but for all the tired drivers this is a great place. The rooms are not very big but you get a bed and a hot shower, which is everything I needed. There is heating and if it gets too hot you can turn it off or even open the door to the balcony, which seems that every room has. There is no A/C though, so if you just happen to arrive when it's hot outside you should take this into account. Also, since this hotel directly faces the road then you will hear traffic if the balcony door is open, but it's quiet enough if you close it. The restaurant is really nice and serves traditional Romanian food. Breakfast is not included but is really not expensive and the room isn't expensive either, so really no big deal. The only thing that is pretty annoying is that the power outlets in the rooms are type C, which means that you can use it just fine for charging you phone, but if you need to charge your laptop the plug might not fit. Overall it's a good place for an overnight stay if you're on the road and start...
Read moreThis hotel is located on the N1 route from Bucharest to Brasov. This did make it quite noisy as there was a lot of traffic during the day but at night we didn't head anything.||We stayed here for 1 night and really enjoyed this hotel.||The room included a double bed which wasn't the most comfortable. More like two simple beds with a wooden frame in the middle. The room also had an armoire, a desk, a tv, a balcony and the bathroom. The wifi also worked pretty well.||The bathroom was quite small. The toilet was loud and the water seemed to be dripping a lot. The particularity of the washroom is that there was a heater in the shower (see photos). We found this quite odd but it wasn't electric so didn't pose a threat. ||The reception was quite helpful with suggestions and in answering questions with pretty good English. ||Lots of parking and free!||We also ate at the restaurant the next day at lunch and were quite satisfied with the food. ||It is away from the hustle and bustle and parking nightmare of the...
