Dobru Hotel — Hotel in Slănic-Moldova

I stayed there for a weekend. On the first night I came across a big black cockroach in the bathroom. I told the receptionist about this the next day but I was treated with a very unprofessional and nonchalant attitude. They didn’t offer me another room or any discount. They didn’t even apologise for the inconvenience. Their solution was to use a spray against cockroaches in the bathroom. However they sprayed in my neighbours room (who I traveled with) instead of mine but didn’t want to admit any wrongdoing when confronted with this. |The cleanliness in the room was poor to say the least. I found spiderwebs in both bathroom and bedroom and even a used sock that didn’t belong to me. I wrote everything on their review form but they didn’t even looked at it when I checked out. They haven’t contacted me afterwards either although they had my phone number and email address.||The only good thing I have to say about the place is the restaurant. The staff, especially waitress Petruța (the 2 stars are only because of her), the food, the drinks and the atmosphere...

We had a new experience being again in that hotel after 7 years. For sure some changes were made. But still they can improve their service concerning cleaning and other things. Being located under mountains, the access is not so easy mostly if is winter and outside the road is with snow and ice. Room where we stayed was small but clean, also bath was clean but in front of bath was a unexpected cavity. Management must be more careful with such details, because we talk about a 3 stars hotel not 2 stars or less. We came for 1 December and had a special dinner in that day, in the late evening. I must say for us was a great disappointment the whole menu, and the time when they served the meal. Even they did not included some mineral water. We did not came specially for that menu, but if they wanted to offer us something different and special then they could give more attention. Went here with my boyfriend and friends and do not rate the place. I was pleased to see the menu had English in it however the waitress who served us who assuming she would speak English did not have a clue what I said and referred to my boyfriend who is Romanian and then continued to speak to me in Romanian when clearly I’m English! Then everyone got their drinks except me and I had to wait 5 minutes for mine to arrive. The place did not seem busy however had to wait an hour and over for my spaghetti carbornora which in fairness was nice but I would not have waited that long if I had known.
