Oxford — Hotel in Timișoara

We stayed in the Oxford Inns and Suites Hotel for three nights. When choosing hotels, we often look for a compromise between cost and quality, as it typically serves as a base for showering and sleeping while we hit the city hard. ||On arrival, we had a warm reception and we're surprised to find that we had such a spacious room with a wardrobe, mini bar and balcony as we had paid so little. The room itself was basic and arguably dated, but it was clean and comfortable and therefore met its purpose. We had been travelling all day and unfortunately the restaurant had closed by the time we arrived, but the reception staff were more than happy to help us order takeaway food directly to the hotel. ||It was when we finally went to sleep that we discovered a couple of issues, both of which I had come across when reading reviews prior to booking that I had opted to ignore. The first issue that there was no way to regulate the temperature of the room which, in April, I didn't think would be a problem, but the weather was particularly warm and it was impossible to sleep. We resolved this problem by opening the balcony door, though this introduced us to the second problem: neighbourhood pets. The hotel is surrounded by houses, all of which seem to have dogs and cockerels that made a ridiculous amount of noise all night. This is obviously way beyond the control of the hotel but is worth keeping in mind if you are a light sleeper. Again, I personally rectified the problem by using ear plugs which I always carry with me, and my friend by wearing his headphones to sleep.||Unfortunately, we didn't get chance to make use of the restaurant or bar on site, but both always seemed to be in use and the prices were great when we reviewed the menu. ||One of the biggest compromises was the location of this hotel. Walking to the centre took around 30-40 minutes as it was just over a mile away. We made this trip a few times and had no qualms with it. We never bothered with public transport as a taxi never cost more than 14 lei which was cheap enough to justify!||Overall, this was a great hotel with friendly staff who were more than happy to help when arranging airport transfers, ordering taxis or planning things to do. The basic room we had was in no way extravagant but it was clean and comfortable. We did walk past some open rooms that were far nicer if you were happy to...

Hotel room and staffs was superb but we left our luggage there for quite long time with memo from my husband's company stating that we will collect it once we settled down in Romania. Went there to pick up our luggage and we left without checking.Found out some of our personal stuff were missing and called them ( few times actually) to ask. Someone was supposed to call us back in regards to this missing items but no one seems to bother to keep us updated. We trusted this hotel so much and try not to think otherwise. I'm writing this review to let everyone knows just to be extra careful with your personal belongings when you're in this premises or anywhere...

Neseriosi si obraznici. Nu cunosc si nu respecta legislatia privind prelucrarea datelor cu caracter personal. Vor sa retina la receptie copie a actului de identitate fara acord si fara a comunica scopul si conditiile prelucrarii datelor personale.

Colegul de la receptie nu a mentionat inapoierea copiei la plecare si nu a fost politicos cand am fost de acord sa o las. Aveti dreptul de a prelucra datele pe loc, completati datele ce va intereseaza si returnati actul de identitate.

Va rog pe dumneavoastra sa cititi cu atentie tocmai ce ati dat copy paste fara a citi cu atentie.

(4) Completarea fiselor se face de către fiecare turist în momentul sosirii, pe baza actelor de identitate, care pentru cetatenii români sunt: buletinul/cartea de identitate şi pasaportul, carnetul de marinar sau licenta de zbor; pentru cetatenii straini sunt: pasaportul, carnetul de identitate, legitimatia provizorie, permisul de mic trafic, carnetul de marinar sau licenta de zbor, iar pentru militarii în termen şi elevii instituțiilor militare de învățământ sunt: buletinul/cartea de identitate sau, după caz, documentele de identitate militare (carnetul de serviciu sau legitimatia).

Nu am refuzat prezentarea actului de identitate, am cerut sa completeze pe loc si sa imi inapoieze documentul. Retinerea unei copii a actului de identitate nu are nici o justificare legala.

La NH Hotels unde m-am cazat ulterior au procedat conform prevederilor legale, am completat personal pe loc formularul autocopiativ. Cu tot cu rezervare si inmnare cartela procedura a durat 5 minute, nu este o scuza ca imi usurati mie procedura de rezervare.

Invatati de la profesionisti daca doriti sa aveti clienti. Repet, atitudinea ostila a agajatului dumneavoastra lasa mult mult de dorit. In cazul unei probleme trebuia sa va solcitie sprijinul fara a lua decizii ce...
