This is a dream come true. I haven't experienced such a place yet! I've lived/eated/drinked/danced/dreamed like a local. ||||The family that runs this place is the most representative example for a "Romanian family": they keep the traditions (and believe me, there are plenty of them in the Maramures County), they are masters in terms of hospitality and their children are a delight.||||About the place: you'll arrive in a dream land... a small valley (called "scobai") with forest on the left and a small river on the right (Mara) with a vibe that will take your breath. The only thing you'll want to do is to stay and listen the birds, the water and enjoy the vibe. Is the Italian feeling "la dolce far niente", but in Maramures style. I'll not tell you much about the local food because you'll leave your life and quit your job to reach such a beautiful place and taste the local flavours!||||The surroundings are full of options: Birsana Monastery (15 km), Mocanita (small forest railroad built in 1932, the most known attraction in the area @ 60 km), Sapinta (village, owning the only "happy" cemetery in the world @ 25 km) and the list is open.||||First time I was there (now I have over 20 visits) I was supposed to stay 4 days... I end-up with 15 days and the feeling of "never get back" to my usual life. ||||Bare-footed, super-happy, full of joy... I salute you! ||||P.S. I don't want to leave this...

This 95th years cottage (relocated and reconstructed) is near Mara river in a very quite place. You have all you need inside. It is decorated in the old Maramuresean style. Nice and simple.
