Brilliant Plaza — Hotel in Zalău

I have arrived late in the night. I took room 208. Inside it was a terrible smell. I have opened the window. Outside plus 3 degrees Celsius. Fortunately for the hotel I was too tired to ask the room to be changed. I opened the TV. It was damaged, black and white but impossible to distinguish any thing on the screen. Only the sound was functioning. ||The bathroom was dirty, hair from previous client probably. In the morning, after 4 hours sleep the smell defeated me and I woke up. After one hour a neighbor went in his room bathroom. I have heard everything like bathing in my sleeping room.||It was one of the worst experience in a hotel ever.||Regarding the restaurant, i may say it is ok, but why should you go to the hotel restaurant as far as the hotel has to be avoided.||THE STAFF, VERY POLITE, WELL TRAINED, GENTLY. The room was small and in one out of 2 nights I stayed there, there was no hot water, so you could not take a shower if needed. The bathroom had mold in the corners of the shower and there was a bad smell that did not go away no matter how much time you let the window open. The bathroom mirror and walls had some stains on them that could have been easily removed if someone would have wiped them. The toilet paper was of extremely poor quality. The open buffet(swedish buffet) for breakfast had acceptable food, but the one staff member that was there, was cleaning tables with Pronto spray and a vaccum cleaner all while you were eating at the next table. I spent two nights in Brilliant plaza hotel.|Rooms is quite small, with a twin bed and not even a desk to work. |Bathroom is average size, with shower inside the tub, without a shower curtain. After a shower, the bath is flooded, bit it's not the first hotel in Romania where I experienced this, so I assume it is normal.|I really enjoyed the quiet location and the total silence at night.|Food at the hotel restaurant was very good, with a reasonable selection.
