Griff Hotel — Hotel in Zalău

The Positives Aspects;||||Good wifi signal||Clean towels||Blackout curtains||Nice balcony (but no table and chairs)||Checkout/leaving! (read below for details)||||The Negative Aspects;||||Cockroaches, Mosquitoes and Bed Bugs!||We were greeted by a huge cockroach in the bathroom. We had the windows permanently closed but still had loads of mosquitoes that kept attacking and biting us. We only discovered the bed bugs after waking up with bites all over our bodies and blood on the bedding.||Itchy skin with constant scratching obviously due to the bed bugs.||Dead insects and blood patches on the walls that other guests had left but were never cleaned off!.||Broken, flashing door light.||Stinky bathroom drain (made the whole room smell).||Extremely dirty carpet.||A single, badly stained chair.||Air conditioning was way too loud as it sounded like a jet engine which disturbed our sleep.||The matress was too hard leaving us feeling bruised when we woke up.||Toilet tissue dispenser looked like something you find in public toilets.||No table or chairs on the balcony.||Extremely unwelcoming and rude staff at the reception and in the restaurant. We presented our complaints at the reception on our way out and they shrugged it off with a bad attitude. She literally said "Oh well...". There was no hint of an apology, or a refund offer, or even a promise to do better!||You pay four star prices for a one star flea...

Last week I was invited to Zalău by friends and they booked for me a room at the Griff Hotel.||I was pleasantly surprised by the quality of the services (because the man sanctifies the place, it is not so?), but also by the arrangement of the common reception areas and the restaurant area. Generous buffet breakfast with excellent coffee.||||||The room was spacious and the atmosphere warm. The bath package with slippers, boot sponge and makeup kit was a pleasant surprise.||||On a frigid December with a drenched teeth sun, Griff's atmosphere exceeded my expectations.||I am glad to see that Romanians still know how to provide quality services.||The hotel is frequented by foreigners and Romanians, the restaurant is also frequented locals also, and, a very good "plus" to them, on request they also prepared a special traditional dish for us.||Definitely I'll...

We visited our home town for my best friend son's wedding and we checked in at Griff Hotel. This is the best hotel we have been in. The staff is friendly, professional and nice. The room was very clean and bed extremely comfortable. The bathroom was big, shower cabin roomy, clean floors.|They also have wall outlets with 110v for north American standard.
