Some holidays have chosen to spend the winter in recent years on the Prahova Valley in Romania. The first experience was in Predeal, some in the Moeciu-Bran, Brasov and Poiana Brasov. I highly recommend any of these places. When I was twice Predeal, this time I will talk about the second experience as pleasant as the first. House Ardeleana Unfortunately we did not find it here. So we tell something about the Montien Hotel. We found the guesthouse surrounded by trees loaded with snow, the view was lovely glass front. Rooms very clean, easy bit small, but very nice, tastefully furnished and private. We were delighted staff, excellent service, quality restaurant, good food. Guesthouse was beautifully decorated, being immediately after the winter holidays. One evening I was pleasantly surprised that the chef had a problem and needs to leave unexpectedly and those at the reception offered to bring us a pizza or anything else I wanted to order from other places in the area. This happens rarely. The whole area is very beautiful and excellent Predeal ski. Nearby there is the Peles Castle in Sinaia, it definitely needs to see and natural monuments of Bucegi...

We came from ski, at around 22:00 and have had 2 pizzas with us (the hotel restaurant is open only for breakfast) and one bottle of wine. At that moment he became CRAZY!!! He was very angry, shouting that it is not allowed to have food and drinks bought from outside!!!||At the end, after being VERY Aggressive he kicked us out, saying that we are some dogs, that can not afford to go to a restaurant to eat something, but only...
Read moreYou have to drive for few minutes from Predeal to reach this place. The access is narrow and a little bit disapointing. There is a building that is shared with another hotel, but I don't see that as a problem.||The first thing I could notice was the strong smell of air freshener in the lobby, which continued also in the room. I really did not understood why are they exaggerating on that. The rooms are large and the bathrooms, as well. You can eat in their restaurant, if you do not want to move around. The staff is helpful and trying to give the necessary support. The missing elevator could be a trap for the tourists going up on stairs...
