nice location. walkable distance to city center, bus stops & more. calm at night.|i believe it is Russian problem that central area is lack of attractions hardly find nice restrant near though it is around the city/province center, commercial banks and offices. Russian seems to bring lunch boxes. few pizza houses only. i just want to try Russian food than pizza in Russia. we can reach a block filled in restaurants and a mall by walking about 10 to 15 minutes, though.||although building looks boring, room is quite spacious, clean & approaching modern. my room is on 5th and close to elevater. some of facilities is bit disappointed. water from shower seems to be fine. considering its price, it helps budget trip for foreigners. though reading some complaints here, overall it is better than expected. wish hotel not hike price soon. bad is communication! receptionist is touchingly polite but just talks few english word. no English in the restaurant. I didnot figure out its name is "RUS" hotel from hotel's sign board, seeming 5...

Located just around the corner from the major street. If you walk in the other direction, you will find pleasant greenery, Post office, supermarkets, small specialty shops and lots of delightful old wooden houses.||It is easy to catch a tram, bus or trolley bus that stop about 150 metres from the hotel on the surrounding streets.||Though not very high, the hotel has lifts. There are some travel agents offices on the ground floor and the hotel can book you a car with a driver to take you to places of interest, airport, train station or lake Baikal. All at very reasonable prices that are lower than what we were charged by a taxi we caught in the street.||A restaurant that serves breakfast and then remains open all day is on the ground floor. Laundry service is good, fast and cheap.||The staff are very pleasant and helpful. They also allowed us to store our luggage while we went to lake Baikal. ATM machine is also in the lobby and the hotel takes credit/debit cards.Rooms are very clean and the staff is dependable...
