Tri Matreshki — Hotel in Irkutsk

First of all, thank you again Julia for all your help! She is by far the most amazing woman and receptionist that I ever met in my whole life! She helped me with many things. Even when I had problems with my visa and had to come back to Irkustk, she let me stay for a bit in the hostel, warm and with the change (and charge the phone) to use WiFi to communicate with my family and friends and see what to do. Her english is perfect and she has a beautiful energy and smile that calmed me down and I will always appreciate her and have her in my thoughts!||||Second and most important for the next visitors: the place is really near the train station, only 5 min walking, so if you are tired from a long transiberian train trip or you will need to catch one earlier in the morning and you don't want to miss it, THIS IS YOUR PLACE! The quality is perfect, all brand new and modern style, very very clean rooms and bathrooms, with a comfortable clean kitchen with all what you will need to cook and eat sitting down, fridge and washer machine. Is a small and really cute place, with three main dorms and even a small living room with TV. And good WiFi! ||||Everything that you need is there and although you don't have a personal key, they are 24h ready to open the door or answer the phone, really committed stuff!||||No alcohol inside or smoking, which is fair enough, rooms are warm and even borrow you a small towel. The price is really fair for what they offer.||||What else do you need? This is the best hostel near a station you can get!||||I highly recommend this hostel! Just as a tip to make them easier to find, put light on the outside, so people can see better the lettering of the hostel.||||Thanks again and...

Firstly, the location for the train station is great! Just a short walk away, so if you're just passing through then this place is probably ideal.||However, I found the kitchen under equipped, no kettle or toaster for example. I couldn't see the free tea and coffee that was mentioned by another reviewer. ||Staff were friendly but seemed disinterested in general. I arrived at 6am from my train and was made to feel like I had arrived in the middle of the night. ||I left the hostel for one night for a day trip to Lake Baikal and despite labelling my food in the fridge came back to find most of it gone. ||Overall not a great experience and I'm sure there are more welcoming hostels in the area. But like I said can't be beaten...

Я планирую путешествие по России с остановками в разных городах, а т.к. остановки короткие, решила бронировать хостелы у ж/д вокзалов. После отзывов в Трип Эдвайзоре и просмотра сайта хостела выбрала место в комнате с одной двухъярусной кроватью - система показывала, что всё свободно... Заполнила форму, отправила заявку. Прошло несколько дней - тишина (для сравнения - другие хостелы в течение дня либо присылали подтверждение по почте, либо звонили и подтверждали бронь). Сегодня позвонила сама, сказала, что заявку отправляла - в ответ никакой реакции, даже не извинились. Спросили какой номер нужен, сказали, что он уже забронирован полностью. Ну, что ж, ладно. Попросила забронировать, где свободно. ||На всякий случай решила уточнить. Я приезжаю в Иркутск в 9 вечера, а на следующий день в 9 вечера у меня уже дальше поезд. Хостел нужен реально, чтобы переночевать и кинуть чемодан. Во всех аналогичных ситуациях в других хостелах мне сразу шли навстречу и просили плату только за сутки. Здесь мне сразу сказали, что расчетный час 12, а каждый последующий час будет стоить 100 рублей, т.е. за то, что я утром уеду гулять, а вечером вернусь только переодеться на поезд и забрать чемодан мне нужно будет заплатить как за 2 дня проживания еще?! Как вариант сказали, что я могу сдать чемодан на хранение после 12 дня, это будет стоить тоже 100 рублей в час! Бред какой-то... Даже в дорогих гостиницах хранение багажа бесплатное... При этом на сайте об этом ни слова - вот был бы мне сюрприз... Возможно, внутри хостел замечательный, но сразу оттолкнул жадностью... Буду искать другой более...
