During our recent stay at Hotel Novotel Moscow Sheremetyevo Airport from May 31 to June 2, my family encountered a disappointing experience due to several issues in our room. The air conditioning malfunctioned on the first night, and the shower had drainage problems. ||||Despite reporting these issues to the hotel staff, the engineer informed us that the problems couldn't be fixed. We requested a room change, but were met with unhelpful responses from Svetlanna, the front desk manager. Initially, we were told there were no available rooms for us to move into.||||After further negotiation, Svetlanna reluctantly offered a one-bed room from a 2 twin bed room displaying a disrespectful attitude towards our tour guide and us. Her behavior was unprofessional, bordering on racism due to our inability to speak Russian. Svetlanna's lack of empathy towards two elderly guests, my mother and mother-in-law in their late 70s, was particularly concerning. ||||It was shocking to hear her unprofessional conduct, including yelling and displaying anger towards our tour guide for a situation she was unable to resolve. Her behavior not only lacked problem-solving skills but also showcased a severe deficit in customer service and hospitality.||||Our experience with Svetlanna was highly disappointing and raised serious concerns about the hotel's customer service standards. It is crucial for hospitality professionals to exhibit empathy, professionalism, and a willingness to find solutions for guest comfort. Svetlanna's behavior fell far short of these expectations, and it is evident that further training or a reassessment of her role is not enough to resolve issue at Novotel Moscow Sheremetyevo Airport.||||Would not recommend this...

Let me start by saying that we called ahead of time asking if the hotel has available rooms for us to stay during the day while we were waiting for our next flight late that evening and we were told that yes, they can accommodate us. Let me also add that we were traveling with 10 months old kid who had a high temperature that day and that was one of the main reasons why we decided to get a room so we can all get some rest. So when we arrived it took them 40 min to check us in because the concierge was looking for available room by calling each floor and asking if there is a clean room.... He had to make at least 4 calls and all this time I had the crying baby on my hands. Finally we got our room keys and went upstairs. In the room everything was set up for one person and the carpet on one side of the bed was completely soaked..I just hope that it was water.... But we were so exhausted from the previous flight and my son was falling asleep so I decided not to deal with all of these and just get some rest. Suddenly very loud banging started to come from upstairs. When I called the front desk I was told that there is a renovation going on in the hotel and that she will connect me to the manager. As my flight was late, I missed my domestic flight late at night in Moscow. Aeroflot representatives met me just down the escalator and gave me a new boarding pass for the flight the next day. Then some other Aeroflot representatives gave me a document about my hotel accommodation for the night and the next day - breakfast, lunch and dinner included. So I stayed at Novotel (there is a free of charge shuttle from Sheremeteyvo to Novotel every 20 minutes). The staff were nice and welcoming! The room was really good with two big beds, a safe, a TV, a kettle and there were coffee, teabags, sugar, cream for you; there was an ironing board and an iron, a hairdryer in the bathroom, so I was able to have a shower and sleep properly. The whole next day I spent in the hotel, there are lots of facilities such as a spa, massage, gym, swimming pool, etc. The food was fresh and tasty! I was impressed by the choice at breakfast time.
