Positive: I liked nothing.. Negative: The roomates were disrespectful, they partied in the room until 4-5 am, they played loud music of their phone without earphones and facetimed their friends in the room until very late at night (I left the hostel at 5h30 am without any sleep, I was just too fed up). The receptionnist expected that from them, she came in the room at 12h30 to say to the boys to be calm and respectful since there was a lady (me) in for the next 2 nights. They obviously didn't feel like they should. It was a mix dormitory, which I was alright with, but all the other boys from the hostel paid a visit to my roomates, wanting to see for their own eyes that there actually was a girl in the room. This made me feel pretty awkward and a little unsafe. The lady at the registration was simply rude. She was exasperated when I used google translate to try to communicate with her because I wanted to switch room for less noizy roomates (it is advertised that they speak english on their page, which is false. I have been living in Russia for a while now, so I was not surprised and I was ok with it, we were able to communicate with my basic russian at the registration. But when I tried to switch room she was simply rude to me, laughing at the fact that I did not understand her explanations, even though they promise on their add that you will be accomodated with the language you speak.) When I asked to switch room because the noize was unbearrable she didn't try to help me out, said that there were no single rooms available (even if there were some on booking.com) and said that that level of loudness and disturbance is just normal for dormitories. It is not, I have been to many other dormitories and have never experienced that before. I would never recommend to anyone...
Read moreI was disappointed because I have stayed in other hostels around the same price which were much better. The rooms are clean but cold. The central heating really doesn’t seem to be on, and what little warmth there is doesn’t count because there is a gap under the door letting cold air in. There aren’t any glasses, mugs, dishes or cutlery, which is annoying because who carries that around with them when they’re staying in a hostel? Also I stayed on the 2nd floor near reception which is VERY noisy, rather ask them to stay on another floor when making the booking. I can clearly hear all conversations, sniffing and people coming and going around my room. Also note that the staff don’t speak English, so have a translator...
Read moreNice place, it's clean, safe, the only strange thing is the kitchen is adapted, that means you have to wash the dishes and get water from other side, but i think it's not a big deal, is something to be thankful they includes a kitchen... Also have a Sauna (additional cost) and beds are confortable, recomended to have a good rest and being close to the center...
