Between February 19-23, my husband and I stayed at the Park Inn by Radisson Sadu, Moscow. On the evening of February 21, we discovered that money in the amount of $1,900 was missing from our safe. There was a Do Not Enter sign hanging on the room all day. We went down to the hotel reception and asked to call the manager. Alexander came out to us and introduced himself as the director of the hotel. We told him that money had been stolen from our safe and we wanted to call the police. But he suggested that we first look at the cameras, on which we saw that during the day a hotel employee came into our room and stayed in the room for about a minute and a half. The hotel director persuaded us not to call the police, promising us that he would deal with the current situation. Taking him at his word, we agreed, to our regret. This is the first time we have encountered such a problem, although we always stay at the Radisson Slavyanskaya Hotel and have not had any problems there. The next day, for some reason, the Director arranged a confrontation for us with a man who was discovered by cameras in our room (with a sign not to enter) and the administrator Karina, who tried all the time to prove that no one stole anything from us and her ward was a young man has nothing to do with it. At the same time, no one could answer the question of who gave him such an assignment to enter our room. We also took the electronic key to the safe from the staff for verification and it turned out that after opening our safe with this key, it automatically locked with our code number. The husband contacted the police, but unfortunately he was told that this had to be done immediately. As a result, the Director said that he could not return the amount to us and offered a 50% discount on our next visits to his hotel. We agreed, believing in his word. Although we made an audio recording of this conversation, just in case. From February 26 to March 5, Alexander provided us with a hotel for free, although this only covered 1/4 of the amount of stolen money. When we decided to fly to Moscow again in June of this year and wrote to Alexander about his promise to provide us with a room with a discount, he gave us provided a 15% discount including taxes and breakfast. Although I am a VIP client of the Radisson Hotel, where we already have free breakfast, and having already looked at the prices for our dates in advance, we realized that we had been deceived once again. But unfortunately there was no response from...
Read moreStayed here in Sep 2023.||||The hotels main USP is the location…it is a budget property in the centre of town, near the Tretyakov Gallery. Also Radisson is one of the few global chains taking online reservations in Russia, so that’s a positive and provides peace of mind.||||On the property itself, it is definitely an older property and needs a lot of love and care. However I imagine that the hotel manages good occupancy rates and margins must be decent so the owners and Radisson are squeezing out every bit of juice. ||||The room I had was large, and overlooked the street in front of the hotel. The windows were well soundproofed as well. The bed was comfortable, if in need of a slightly better mattress and a bigger comforter.||I think the positives end there. The carpet was absolutely nasty with all sorts of stains, and the bathroom is in sore need of a renovation. The aircon was middling efficiency at best. And the keycard mechanism on my door fell off while I was staying there…passing staff fixed it quickly.||||Breakfast was below average and I didn’t have it on the last 2 days.||||WiFi almost never worked.||||Reception staff were nice and always helpful…that is a highlight. But they have only so much to work with.||||I had some reservations going into the hotel, given the reviews/pictures online, and I think they were confirmed. I would rather not stay here again, unless the property...
Read moreI really disappointed with this hotel upon arrival. The hotel main door is closed very early when I arrived by 10.00 pm. The reception staff was not helpful with CANNOT DO mindset. She keeps saying no for every request and this is not the big deal to rate this hotel as TERRIBLE until I saw the guestroom. The room is very old and dirty, the carpet is dusty. The furnitures lower than 4 stars hotel standard. The air-condition is noisy as well as the bad water quality from the tap. The bath gel run out and I called the housekeeping bring me the new one. She came and brought me within 5 minutes which sounds good, but she suddenly open the room door and open the bathroom while I was taking a shower without any door knocking. She left the bath gel on the floor and run very quickly. I decided to early departure and find the other hotel in the next day. I disappointed with Radisson Brand Standard and of course I will not come to this hotel again and I will tell everyone in my community to avoid Park Inn by Radisson...
