Governor's Residence — Hotel in Kimihurura

I recently had the pleasure of staying at the Governor's Residence in Kigali, Rwanda, and it was an exceptional experience! Our first two nights we were there by coincidence, and our third night was by choice. The hotel itself is beautifully designed, combining modern luxury with local charm. The rooms are spacious, comfortable, and nicely decorated. Plus, the views from the hotel are stunning, providing a lovely backdrop to my stay.

The staff at the Governor's Residence truly go above and beyond. They were warm, welcoming, and incredibly attentive, making me feel at home from the moment I arrived. The dining options were fantastic, offering delicious local and international cuisine that I couldn’t get enough of. From the moment I arrived, I was greeted with a smile and immediately felt welcome. The entire team is incredibly kind, attentive, and professional – you can tell they truly care about what they do.||The property itself is beautiful: tastefully designed, quietly located, and surrounded by lush gardens. My room was spacious, spotless, and thoughtfully appointed – from the comfortable bed and the lovely terrace to the quality amenities provided.||One of my favorite moments was breakfast on the veranda overlooking the greenery – everything was fresh, delicious, and served with such care. Dinner was equally enjoyable, and relaxing by the pool after a day in the city was the perfect way to unwind.||The Governor’s Residence is more than just a boutique hotel – it feels like a true home away from home. Thank you so very much to the amazing team at this beautiful property for making my stay unforgettable. The rooms, gardens and public areas are tastefully designed and invite you to stay longer. There is a feeling of calmness present everywhere. The staff also deserves praise, they are simply outstanding. Lastly I have to mention the meals. Oh my, the chef is a magician!!
