I called the Hotel over the phone, and they told me the Hotel is Sold Out, while it was showing availability on Booking.com. The Lady asked me to book online then!||Upon Check In, the receptionist did not find my CONFIRMED booking, and simply asked me to go to the other branch ( more than 300 meters far from the Property) to check my booking there, although I showed him the confirmation letter for this Property!!! Read moreI usually base my hotel bookings on reviews and I think I am pretty fair BUT I did not book this hotel myself it came with the package deal and group tour I was part of when I went on umrah (holy journey ) in December 2016. My first impression on entering the hotel foyer was that it could be a 4-star. Check in was smooth and my luggage was taken to my room at the same time as I was. Imagine my shock when I saw our couple room 3 single beds covered with stale looking blankets and all in a rather small space. The shower was so tiny you inevidently bumped into the perspex walls each time you moved and the shower floor was mouldy as the water was not running away fast enough and one found yourself in water up to your ankles while you were drying yourself. There was no kettle or the usual cups and coffee/tea found in most hotels, on my query as to why no kettle I was told that our booking had not been done via Booking, com so we did not qualify to receive a kettle. The hotel was also a good 10 minutes walk to Masjid Nabawie which was not too bad as it gave us the opportunity to at least buy food as their restaurant was out of action for most of our stay. Truth be told I have never given a hotel a bad review as I try and find at least Two things that are positive in each hotel BUT this has definitely been the worst hotel I have ever stayed in and I will not recommend...
