Let's look at the pros and cons:|Pros:|Unbeatable location in the old city of Al Ula.|You can walk to the city.||Continental breakfast This actually means that you can choose one item from each set of options, such as croissants, fresh juices, eggs, etc.|These are mostly arabian dishes, gourmet, some are good, others not so much.|The dishes are plentiful and if the guest chooses one of each option, it's already a lot of food||Great Wi-Fi||Excellent and numerous staff, always available to help guests.|They are the best in hotel.||The decor and the 1001 nights atmosphere.||Cons:||The hotel says be eco-friendly|There is no electricity in the room, except in the bathroom.||As a result, the room is very dark.||Even to read, I had to go to the bathroom, where there is electric light.|Hotel warns about this |situation by email.|This doesn't prevent the darkness, which makes everything| difficult, even taking medicine or packing or unpacking a suitcase.||- The room has 3 rooms: living room, bedroom and bathroom.||Between each one, there is a high step, which can be up to 15 cm high and can even be dangerous in the dark, since the room is always dark.||Because it uses an old construction technique, it is not hot and there is no need for air conditioning.||But in winter it is very cold and it is necessary to be warm at all times.||The wooden door is difficult to close and makes it necessary to put the hand inside, which means scraping your skin and hurting yourself.||The steps leading to the room are high and guest have to be careful.||In addition, the handrail is dirty with sand.|I was feeling very sick and asked for directions to a hospital or medical clinic. ||They recommended a medical clinic 2 km away from the hotel. ||And they said that if I went in the hotel car it would cost 400 SAR or 110 dollars. ||Or I could go by transport app. ||For the price charged to a sick guest, I went by transport app and it cost 4 dollars!!!!. ||The value for money :||It is definitely not worth paying 800 dollars a day. ||Finally, the soundproofing is not good. ||Luckily, guests go to bed early, but it is possible to hear the neighbors talking. ||Summary: Very high price for discomfort. ||If the guest has limited mobility, it is best...

Dar Tantora Hotel was our first place to stay during our AL ULA trip.||We arrived early morning and we even show 3 rooms to choose from and offered an early check in. In summer it is low season the team was kind enough to give an option to chose a room.||We had a very nice and spacious room new the pool area. Huge traditional room on the first floor with huge bathroom.||Very nice comfortable double bed and we had as well at night portable AC so it was nice to sleep. In the room there is portable ice freeze and complementary water. We have asked for extra waters twice in the same day and was not issue at all to replenish.||In Saudi we needed a lot of water.||The pool around evening was perfect with cool temperate and magical view.||On the first day we had included dinner in our rate... Oh my God so much food and and very nice!! you could choose what ever you wanted and as much you want.||Great Service from the restaurant staff.||The hotel at night with the candles it is transformed to a fairytale, simply Magic and very romantic.|||Hotel is just short walk to old town and you can go either waling or by free ride with hotel buggy.||The hotel is part to the Old town and blend nicely with the old town as it is a preserved place and kept the old house style.|Beautiful decoration and lovely corners with traditional style. ||We had a a complementary trip to the local oasis with guide which was very nice.||Hotel location is ideal for tours and we even visited Elephant rock from there and the view point on the mountain which was breathtaking.||Lastly we wanted to mentioned the fantastic team who they made us feeling like home.|||Dar Tantora is offering the traditional Arabic Hospitality.||A big thanks to Hamsa and the Lady from Uzbekistan for their excellent service.||You...

Dar Tantora is not just a hotel, it is an experience like no other.

Originally a set of homes and shops, this section of the Old Town was converted into a world class hotel that combines tradition with modern luxury.

Although there is no AC (and to be quite honest, it does get stuffy and hot in the summer), the use of traditional methods such as mudbrick and a carefully planned layout to capture the smallest breeze helps maintain interior temperatures throughout the day. Not one drop of concrete has been used, the entire hotel (or close to it) uses mudbrick only, which gives it a feeling that you're walking back into the past, while still being in the present.

This is not a hotel to just sleep and relax in, but an experience and a living museum that lets one live the life of the people of Al Ula as they have lived for thousands of years. In this day and age, modern, hyper luxury hotels have become boring with little discernible difference, but Dar Tantora is an unforgettable experience that will live with me for as long as I live. I stayed twice 3 weeks apart (Al Ula was on the way to and from my destination), the hotel and its staff are that good.

Even the check in process is wonderful, the hospitality is unmatched. The employees offer a cooled towel (if it's hot outside), water, traditional coffee, 4 types of traditional incense to perfume your room with (of your choosing), and explain how everything works (because this isn't a...

An Unforgettable Stay at Dar Tantora Hotel, Al Ula I recently had the pleasure of staying at Dar Tantora Hotel in Al Ula, and it exceeded all my expectations. From the moment I arrived, the experience was nothing short of exceptional. The reception team welcomed me warmly, ensuring a seamless check-in process. Their professionalism and attention to detail set the tone for my entire stay. Throughout my visit, the guest service team was always available and eager to assist with any requests, providing thoughtful recommendations and making me feel truly cared for. The butler service was outstanding, offering personalized attention that made my stay extra special. Whether it was arranging a private tour or delivering something to my room, they were always prompt and courteous. The housekeeping staff were equally impressive, keeping the room spotless and paying attention to even the smallest details, ensuring a comfortable and luxurious atmosphere throughout my stay. The hotel’s restaurant deserves special mention as well. The food was a delightful blend of local flavors and international cuisine, served in a beautiful, intimate setting. The staff was attentive, and the presentation and quality of the dishes were outstanding. Overall, Dar Tantora offers a perfect blend of luxury, culture, and warm hospitality. I highly recommend it for anyone visiting Al Ula. I can’t wait to return!

My stay at Dar Tantora exceeded all my expectations. From the moment you arrive, the check-in process is warm and welcoming, and that sense of hospitality stays with you throughout your entire visit. The staff not only ensures you have everything you need, but they also make you feel right at home, which truly sets this place apart. The food was simply exquisite and abundant. Breakfast offers a wide variety of options to suit all tastes, while lunch and dinner are equally delicious, with diverse dishes that impress with their quality. I especially want to highlight Bob and Lovell, who made my stay even more special. Their attention and hospitality were exceptional, and I can't thank them enough. Dar Tantora is much more than a hotel: it's an experience that combines comfort, warmth, and top-notch service. I definitely look forward to coming back soon. ❤️

Sao o melhor do hotel.
