⭐️⭐️ Highly Disappointed, Location is the Only Plus
I recently stayed at Taiba Front Hotel in Madina, and while its prime location — just a few steps away from Masjid Al Nabawi — is the only true benefit, everything else about the experience was disappointing.
The reception is strangely located on the 1st floor, and both entrances allow direct access to the elevators, meaning you can bypass reception entirely. This layout was confusing, and the lack of interaction with staff didn’t provide a welcoming start.
The room I stayed in (1044 on the 10th floor) was poorly lit, with only one lamp between the two single beds and a few dim LED strips behind the bed and TV. Even with all lights on, the room remained dark and uncomfortable. Additionally, the room had a strange, pungent smell that was noticeable every time we returned from outside.
Upon arrival, no amenities were provided except for bath towels. While Fazal ul Haque from room service kindly brought extra towels, slippers, and toothbrushes after we called and made a request. However, hand towels weren’t delivered until the last day. Although housekeeping ensured the room was cleaned daily, the attention to detail was lacking, especially in the bathroom.
Speaking of the bathroom, the light fixture above the basin had two lamps, but only one was working, and it was protruding out of its fitting, while the other wasn’t working at all. The only working lamp was on the shower side. On a positive note, there was constant hot water in the shower, which was appreciated, but overall, the bathroom was small and not well-maintained.
On our first night, the air conditioner leaked water onto my luggage, which required a quick repair. Later, on the second day, I noticed one of the beds was tilted. Room service temporarily fixed it by placing a broken wheel under the bed, but later that night, the repair team had to come and remove the bed to fix it with tools. This process disrupted our rest and peace, which was frustrating.
The elevators, although functional, had a peculiar issue where they stopped at every floor twice during my stay, which was quite inconvenient, especially when coming down from the 10th floor.
The breakfast buffet offered a wide variety of food, but unfortunately, quantity didn’t translate to quality. The egg bar was particularly disappointing, with the chef failing to make eggs properly. In comparison to my experience at Hilton Suites in Makkah, where the egg bar was fantastic, this was a real letdown.
Finally, on the day of checkout, the duty manager showed a complete lack of concern. Despite knowing about the issues we had throughout our stay, he didn’t bother to ask how our experience was, even though he asked the guest ahead of me in line. This indifference left a lasting negative impression.
Overall, this hotel’s saving grace is its location — extremely close to Masjid Al Nabawi. However, the management really needs to invest in renovations and improve the guest experience. Even for a budget-friendly hotel, comfort, cleanliness, and basic quality should not be compromised.
If proximity to the mosque is your sole priority, this hotel might work for you, but if you’re expecting a comfortable and restful stay, I’d recommend looking elsewhere.
I would rate my stay 2...

Location, perfect. Less than a minute walk to gates 329 and 330.
Now onto the negatives!
Heavily disappointed in Taiba hotel! Service was atrocious and the rooms were dark and gloomy! Our first day we got there a few hours before check in time (I happily paid £82 to get ourselves into a room asap as I had my wife two kids and my mother) we were meant to have 2 double rooms. At 4pm we was given a room and it wasn’t even fit for a singleton! From then it was a back and forth with the reception and these lot were just taking the absolute mick! The lady at the reception said once a certain room was ready we’d have that (the room mentioned was a large room which was perfect for my family) however, upon visiting the reception, I was told that the room is “unavailable” which means that they’d have given it to someone else! We stayed in the small room for one night and after kicking up a fuss they’d given us a semi decent room the next day.
I’ve never been one to moan or complain however this is more for the comfort of my family as oppose to myself
Going to breakfast was a joke as they had put my mother’s name under both roomed! So when mentioning our name at the desk to enter for breakfast, we had to prove that we were actually residing in the hotel! Absolute incompetence!
I think these hotels bite off more they can chew, they over book pilgrims just to rake in money and put their customers anywhere and everywhere!
My advise? Avoid this place as much as you can, I came to umrah with my friends in August 2024 and stayed in Movenpick, one building away from here. Go there! No...
