Crowne Plaza Belgrade — Hotel in City of Belgrade

The Hotel is vast and in New Belgrade , its more of a business hotel than tourist destination. However we chose this hotel as it had an amazing indoor pool and spa complex and a lovely outside garden with sunbeds - these were well used as it was over 27 degrees most days and the fact it was next door to the Sava Center where we were attending a few evening concerts.|We arrived early and our room was not ready and were told we would have to wait maybe up to 3 hours ! The receptionist was completely disengaged and uninterested , at one point simply walking off.|After several heated discussions and threatening to go else where we were eventually "upgraded to a room that was ready " . |This experience of non existent customer service was not expected particularly given my IHG Status.|We found all the staff were efficient but bordering on rude and certainly not friendly or helpful.|The hotel was very , very busy but despite this we heard no noise from our rooms and did not have to wait for a lift .|We were on the 7th floor part of the "Club Access " and had a large corner suite with views out over the skyscrapers etc.|The suite consisted of a sitting room , dining area , kitchenette , work area and large bedroom with two dressing rooms and a very large bathroom.|The sitting room and bedroom each had their own TV and air conditioning units.|The bathroom had a separate wet room and a large bath with an additional shower. The toiletries were very luxurious , we also had robes and slippers. The bed was big and so comfortable with a chaise longue and coffee table at one end.|The sitting room had a large sofa , armchair , numerous coffee tables and a large desk and office chair, along with a dining table and three chairs in an alcove opposite the kitchen area. My only criticism of this part of the suite is the fact there was no overhead light or lamp over the desk.|The kitchen area had a large sideboard with built in fridge , coffee machine , kettle , cups etc and bottled water replenished every day . There was a mini bar but this was a chargeable extra.|We had access to the club Lounge in our room rate which was a large well furnished area on the Mezzanine and between 5pm and 7pm you could get hot and cold snacks - which were delicious - as well as alcohol.|We had breakfast every morning and the array of hot and cold food was what we have come to expect of an IHG Hotel. The fresh omelettes were delicious . The coffee was of a good standard as was the fresh juice selection.|We did walk to the river to catch the boat for our River Cruise but used the local Car-go Ap ( similar to UBER ) who were very efficient and cheap to get to the Old Town and tourist sites.|Old Belgrade has such a great atmosphere and the people we met there had a much friendlier approach than in New Belgrade.|We enjoyed our 5 nights and would recommend the hotel and its facilities just...

I’d stayed in so many hotels all over the world but it is always a pleasure of staying at this wonderful hotel and I must say, the breakfast experience was nothing short of delightful. The staff working there went above and beyond to ensure that every guest felt welcome and attended to. Amazing Vanja from the entrance of the breakfast area, incredible and very pleasant Jelena who cooks the best omelette in the world. From the warm greetings at the entrance to the attentive service throughout the meal, their professionalism and genuine care were evident. The breakfast spread itself was impressive, offering a delicious Serbian traditional food, a wide variety of fresh fruits, pastries, hot dishes, and made-to-order options. Everything was impeccably presented and tasted delicious. The staff’s willingness to accommodate dietary restrictions and preferences was also commendable. Overall, the combination of delicious food and exceptional service made for a truly enjoyable start to each day of my stay. Highly recommended!
