In short: My thanks to the staff for the very nice stay. Thank you for keeping the door open to us, and I will be happy to come again to explore further. There are some improvement points that you can also consider in the meantime.
I have chosen to stay at the Hyatt Regency in Belgrade for a brief visit. The main thing for me was the location — pretty much everything I have come for was nearby, and the location is 1-2 public transport stops away from the other part of the city, across the Sava river. Other very important things to me were not to have to deal with cigarette smoke, and that I can leave early. One thing I didn't know that I will have needed, but I indeed had, was good air conditioning.
Staff: exceptionally — patient, professionally friendly, and helpful. As a first-time visitor, I had a couple of things to catch up with (as in 'how does this work'), of which each was resolved in one go. They also flawlessly helped me arrange the taxi ride back to the airport. Additionally, I watched them handle another difficult situation unrelated to me, and can only commend them for how that was done. 5+/5
Overall room: indeed marble flooring and tiles felt good. So did the carpet and the furniture provided. 5/5 Warm water: was available at a stable pressure, and the cold/warm water ratio was well-controllable. 5/5 The view I received was that of the Business Center Ušće. Indeed, very nice, especially during the night. The bed: a nice, wide bed; from its facilities, I could have used a blanket instead of the quilt (personal preference), but in the end, it was just fine. Thus, I didn't look/ask for a blanket.
No smoking: the room sure has fulfilled on not containing or receiving any cigarette smoke at all. 5+/5
Air conditioning: this worked well during the scorching surprise summer weather during my stay. It enabled me to sleep well despite high heat, and it can be controlled via a panel available in the room. 5+/5
Cleanliness: very nicely done! 5/5
Internet: they have both LAN and WiFi. I only tested WiFi. It is there, it is included in the price, and it works great! Something that seemed a bit off was that, in order to use it, one needs to leave behind a registration that includes first name, last name, and email address. Having the WiFi without being asked to submit PII would have been way nicer, dear Hyatt! 4/5
Ironing: it is very nice that the hotel provides two appliances: an ironing board with three height settings, and an iron. Though, I recommend paying extra attention while operating the appliances: the iron is quite lightweight, which requires full attention in order not to flip it over while it is on the board. 4/5
Soundproofing: Indeed, I wasn't disturbed by any sound that might have been made in other rooms. An awesome facility! One thing to take into account, however, are sounds made in the hallway, which were coming in clearly through the closed doors, all the way to the bed. If not put out there, perhaps it would be nice to have boards on the hallways that ask other guests to keep it quiet before getting in their rooms. Else, soundproofing the doors would also fix this. Any functionality (such as knocking) that would thereby be lost, could possibly be enabled via an optional small non-soundproofed surface for knocking, and/or a doorbell (or similar tech/innovation). 4/5
I trust that the included breakfast would have been great, but I had to leave for my next flight before it was time for it. I've seen some other folks receive breakfast bags, so perhaps you could ask for that.
Altogether, I give this place 4/5 on this visit and would be happy to stay here again, and hopefully a bit longer, so that I can explore its full range of facilities and potential. Thank you very much for...
Read moreStaying at the Hyatt Hotel in Belgrade was, without exaggeration, one of the most frustrating and insulting experiences I’ve ever endured at any hotel. For a brand that supposedly prides itself on luxury and hospitality, this property fails on every conceivable level.
The so-called "spa" was a disgrace, a miserable and unhygienic space masquerading as a wellness facility. The steam room was filthy, with forgotten shaving gear left in plain sight—an obvious sign of how little the staff cares about basic cleanliness or upkeep. It felt like a health hazard, not a place to relax. The entire area was so poorly maintained and limited in scope that calling it a spa is a mockery. The only good part was the gym.
The parking situation was an outright betrayal. Reception assured us multiple times that parking would be available at all times, only for us to find not a single spot when we arrived. This forced us to scramble for alternatives at our own expense and inconvenience. Such blatant dishonesty is unacceptable and reflects a staggering lack of professionalism and accountability.
As for the service—if you can even call it that—it was nothing short of atrocious. The staff at the bar were the pinnacle of rude, indifferent behavior, outright lying that the bar was closed while it was very much open. Only after we involved reception were we begrudgingly let in, as though we were unwelcome intruders rather than paying guests. This kind of dismissive, condescending attitude was pervasive throughout the hotel, leaving us feeling not like valued guests but as an inconvenience to the staff’s day.
The rooms were no refuge from this chaos. Dated, shabby furnishings greeted us, along with cleanliness levels that left much to be desired with dust all over the place. The bathrooms were an insult—barely stocked with cheap amenities that couldn’t possibly meet even the most basic expectations. It was evident that care and effort are foreign concepts to this property.
Dining was another exercise in mediocrity. Overpriced, flavorless, and served with the same indifference that characterized the rest of our stay, the food was abysmal. Breakfast was especially chaotic, with inattentive staff, a lack of options, and an overall vibe of disorder that left a sour start to each day.
The overall atmosphere of the hotel was utterly lifeless and cold, a reflection of the staff’s attitude. Instead of feeling welcomed and cared for, we were treated as though our presence was a burden. The lack of warmth, courtesy, or any semblance of hospitality made the stay feel less like a luxury experience and more like enduring the bare minimum from an indifferent team.
To say this Hyatt is a disgrace to the brand would be an understatement. The incompetence, rudeness, dishonesty, and complete absence of hospitality were nothing short of shocking. If you value being treated with respect and decency, avoid this property at all costs. Staying here was not just a disappointment—it was an...
Read moreIncredible. From the details of the check in to the emails beforehand for reservations and bookings to further questions we’ve had.
Thank you to Todor from the Concierge for the impeccable service, the attention to detail and the lovely conversation.
Thank you to Ana from spa who has great potential to be the future manger of sales and marketing. She showed us how knowledgeable of her products and her services she is and even pitched us a stay at hyatt in Turkey.
The staff at the restaurant for our dinner reservation were just lovely as well as the location. As a non smoker I did dislike that the tables with a good view were smoking tables.
Food was incredible.
The room service was spectacular as well. Lovely employees on the phone taking our order to the ones that brought our food. They even made me a virgin pina colada when the bar was closed and brought it to my room. It made my day as I was craving one.
Breakfast left us wanting a little more structure. I told the cook my warm egg dish order and then had to wait awkwardly with other guest until our food was done. Maybe the hostess while checking our room nr could explain that we have to order with the chef or the waiter at the table, though that seems impossible as it feels like no waiter has a clear station and just runs around where they see empty plates.
All this to say that maybe a clear structure of how breakfast works and maybe some station waiters to get our warm dish orders would be wonderful.
Still even with that the breakfast was very nice and enjoyable.
The architecture is what elevated all of these wonderful experiences to the next level.
Even if the service were to not be good the architecture alone would make it all okay again.
I also found the menstrual hygiene products in the lady’s room in the lobby a great addition. Free menstrual products are what shows how much the hotel actually cares for their guests with periods.
The smart TV in the room and the floodlights were a as everything in this hotel a lovely and thoughtful addition.
I will gladly come again and I encourage everyone to do so too.
Thank you
Warm regards
Ana and Simon your colleagues from Park...
