Hotel President — Hotel in City of Subotica

I don’t know where I’d begin in rating this hotel. We stayed 7 days - 7 same breakfasts and 3 dishes to choose from for dinner- one or two would always be chicken in a different way and one completely unacceptable most of time. Front desk never advised us that even tho we asked for breakfast and dinner the dinner will be charged separately and we can dine elsewhere. We found out at checkout!!!|Bathrooms rusty, shower cabin walls never cleaned, sinks blocked - water sits after you wash your hands or take a shower. Mirrors and a broken window smudged with hand prints all over them-never cleaned. Bed not made once, not vacuumed once in 7 days even after we asked for it and regardless to the fact that we stayed with a dog that obviously sheds.|Staff mostly under 20 kids who spill your coffee most of time and consider that to be ok. Greasy forks, knives, stained table sheets. I'm tempted to give it 5*, however there are a few things holding me back.

What we liked: the receptionists were always polite and helpful breakfast was good/tasty room size is decent furniture looks ok (a bit retro, but still in good condition) even though it's small, the indoor pool helped us unwind.

In the "what could be improved" category, i have to say that some TLC would probably go quite a long way. A few examples: the carpet could use a thorough cleaning the shower was a bit small/uncomfortable and its size was a poor choice, considering the size of the bathroom (there would have been more than enough space for a larger shower) the TV didn't have any signal and it couldn't even be connected to the hotel's wifi (it had a YouTube app, however it wouldn't open because the TV didn't have an internet connection) bits and pieces here and there, that could have been done with greater care.

Final thoughts: we will probably return when we're in the area, one of the reasons being that the price was really decent, especially considering...

Hotel is very nice and small, so you will have no problem with noise and being crowded. Rooms are clean and spacious. Stuff is very pleasant and helpful and they will try to fulfill every request that you might have. They keep asking do you need anything and how was everything so far with the big smile on their faces, so we felt relaxed and in no need for anything. Outdoor pool is probably the best spot in this hotel, as you can see that stuff puts lot of effort in keeping it nice and clean.
