Park Hotel — Hotel in City of Subotica

we went to Park Hotel Palic for our friends' wedding. first the rooms and everything else looked old to us and we were a little upset. but in fact it is a great place. the hotel is located in a wonderful park just next to the gorgeous lake of Palic. there are different attractions available to the visitors - boats, bicycles etc. Just a 5 minutes walk takes you to the main street of Palic (which is also the road to Subotica) with restaurants, shops and a wonderful building of the Post. ||by the way, there are a couple of restaurants in the park as well. ||the hotels staff is nice and helpful, rooms are clean and there is everything you need available in the rooms incl. a minibar. so we liked the place.||the only thing which one may not like about the hotel is a poor internet connection. but it does not matter much in a such a beautiful place.||||also it is only 10 minutes by taxi to Subotica, a wonderful town near the Hungarian border. the center of the town is wonderful, there are a lot of old gorgeous bulidings. City Hall also deserves a visit, don't miss a chance to go inside - it is beautifully decorated. these two days in Subotica and Palic worth one week of a vacation in more commong...

This is a good old hotel, good price, very kind and helpful staff (although one man at the reception seems to have 2 left hands when working with a computer), clean and spacious rooms. The building itself is cute, but everything is preety old. The breakfast is in the restaurant nearby not in the hotel. The food was very good (we had also lunch there). ||We enjoyed our stay, but nevertheless the hotel is not 4. I would give it 3.||But we stayed only one night so this is just an estimate at a glance.||Hotel is located at Palic lake, which is beautiful (though not recommended for swimming as it is not clean enough - what a pitty). Very peaceful and relaxing. Park is beautiful also. When we were visiting Palic it was raining occasionally and there were mud at a lot of places - not very nice at all. This hotel was a disappointment for me. When I booked it through Booking, the photos indicated that it was quite a decent hotel with quality services. I was even more disappointed when I found out that the restaurant is not located in the hotel building, but about 100m further. It wasn't so much a beauty mistake. The restaurant was just booked due to a wedding. The helpful receptionist told us that we can order anything on the terrace, even if there is a wedding inside. Unfortunately, the staff refused to serve us before 10 PM, because their kitchen is already closed. I only wanted to order drinks and beer. Despite the noise until 1AM before the wedding ended, I at least used the bar in the room, the wine tasted good. In the morning, a poor breakfast of one-star hotel quality awaited us.
