I stayed at Hotel Viktor from May 28 to June 1, 2025, and unfortunately, my experience was far below expectations for a 3-star hotel.

Major Issues During Our Stay: No Early Check-In or Reception Assistance

We arrived at 12 PM (before official check-in time), but the entire building was locked with no staff in sight. No information, no place to leave luggage—just stranded outside. When we finally checked in, the receptionist rudely said, "It’s stated on our website"—as if that excuses zero hospitality for early arrivals.

Poor Room Conditions

No lock on the toilet door – Zero privacy. Faulty hairdryer – The bathroom one didn’t work, and the spare couldn’t be used there (no working socket). No mini-fridge – Basic amenity missing. Broken telephone – Just a prop, no actual cord.

Unusable Wi-Fi

Extremely slow—couldn’t even load emails and (sometimes not working at all). Staff response? "It works for me." No troubleshooting, just dismissal.

Lazy Housekeeping Only took out trash and changed towels—no real cleaning.

Rude & Unhelpful Staff Acted annoyed by simple requests. No apologies for problems—just excuses.

What the Hotel Will Probably Say (And Why It’s Not Good Enough): "Check-in times are on our website." → Doesn’t justify locking guests out with no assistance. "We’ll check the hairdryer/Wi-Fi." → Should’ve been fixed already. "Housekeeping follows standard procedures." → Then your standards are low.

Conclusion: A messy, poorly managed hotel with zero customer care. Overpriced for what you get. Never staying here again.

Cockroach found in room, excrement stained bedsheets, rude staff, incorrect rooms provided, no hot water.

The trip started off poorly when we tried to check in and was told that the rooms we had booked and paid for were not available and throughout the whole interaction we were treated as if we were an inconvenience for asking for said rooms. We had booked twin rooms because adults were sharing and 2 of our group ended up having to share a double instead. The girl at front desk then said that we could swap the next day to the correct room, only for the person working at the desk the next evening be incredibly abrupt and rude when we asked for this. Just telling us "No" with no attempt at improving the situation, acting as if we had done something wrong by already sleeping in the room.

This was a theme - the staff were incredibly rude. We were waiting quietly in the lobby on the hotel sofas for one of our party who was getting ready in their room only for a member of staff to come over and tell us to either go back to our room or just get out because apparently you're not allowed to sit in the hotel lobby(?!).

Then the cleanliness of the rooms was awful. Piss stained sheets and worst of all a cockroach was found when getting ready one morning. 4 guests had cold showers with no hot water.

We would have said something to staff but the front desk is barely ever manned, and based on previous interactions there was a genuine fear they would be aggressive or...

I travel a lot but this hotel was my worst experience ever.

We booked Hotel Victor for Saturday night as a stay after a long trip. We checked in and the deluxe suite was pretty big but dirty. There were stains on the linen and spider's web on the ceiling. So my wife asked for a cleaner room at the reception. They gave us keys to another room and it looked a bit cleaner at first. I want to the bathroom and found a used CONDOM (!!!) there. Also we found dirty socks on the heater. I took photos of our "findings" and went to reception to ask for a really clean room. The lady at the reception promised that the hotel owner will contact us shortly. We waited and waited... No one contacted us and the receptionist told us that they do not have any other rooms. So we had nothing to do but check out and urgently find another hotel. The Saturday night was completely ruined and we have to pay for a new hotel more that planned.

On Monday I wrote the owner asking for refund. She was rude and accused me of lying. No apologies, no politeness, no compensation for a more expensive hotel, even no refund for the room we did not stay in. Can you believe it?!? I cannot imagine that such a way of doing business is possible in the European city! And reading other customers' reviews I see that I am not the only one who was fooled by this hotel.

My advice is stay away from Hotel Victor...

The hotel itself looked nice untill we entered our room. The handle of the bathroom door literally fell just by touching it , they left us used toilet paper , no soap nor any toiletries and the only soap dispenser that was there is broken . The mirror in the bathroom is holding on for dear life as well as the towel hanger . The air conditioner does not work , the table between the beds is broken and lopsided and the lights are unstable to the point where you are scared to touch them . A table in the room is broken aswell and is unstable too. There is no designated smoking area and the restaurant isnt working . There weren't any extra pillows or blankets nor towels in case of need .They gave us only one key for the room in which are staying two individuals. The elevator needs a card to use and you get stuck if your other party has it and is not with you . Room service is minimal . After we told the reception about the broken stuff in our room and the missing stuff that we need for daily use, they just told us ,, sorry we cant help you right now , MAYBE tomorrow,, ofc ,,tomorrow,, came and nothing happened. I am really dissapointed and for 70 euros a night I would expect a better experience and better staff .

Our room was clean in general, i always think skeptically about cleanness in hotels anyway, so i avoided walking barefoot in the room and used the slippers in shower. I recommend you to do it, too. It's a pretty quiet place. That's good. The receptionist was a lady who was nice, responsive and knew English well. We didn't eat in the hotel, if it's even possible here, but we did order some food from a local fast-food restaurant. There is no fringe in the room, also no cups or water/tea or an electric kettle that Hotels usually put in their rooms for the customers. The hair dryer wasn't working and looked very very nasty... WiFi was a little weak. The biggest disappointment was the absence of towels. Maybe we didn't look for them enough, but we looked everywhere they logically might be. So since we had no time to get the receptionist who is absent early in the morning anyway or find the cleaning lady, we used bed sheets for it, it wasn't bad, the sheets were very soft against the skin and honestly, i think it was even better than the towels))) P.S. I made photos right before leaving the hotel so the bed sheets were messed up on the photo and your experience might differ from what you can see on these photos.
