My wife and I decided to celebrate my birthday in the VIP-Suite of the Hotel Tri Studničky, which we booked mainly because of the private whirlpool.
We were greeted very friendly and felt very comfortable at first, a bottle of prosecco and a plate of fruits awaiting us in the really beautiful room.
Unfortunately, after the first impression problems started. At first we had no electricity (seemed to be a blown fuse, can happen), but after we had power again we realized the whirlpool wasn't working. The hotel staff could not do anything about it (which I also understand, just bad luck) but how the issue was adressed really upset me.
We were offered another bottle of prosecco for compensation, which I respectfully declined twice by phone and once again as the servant was standing in front of our door. They insisted on giving it to us still, which I found very disrespectful. The reasoning behind my decline is that I cannot drink alcohol due to health issues (which I thought I do not have to explain, a simple "thank you but I do not drink" should have been enough I think) and for my wife the bottle we already had was more than enough.
Unfortunately that was all they could do for us, I spoke to the manager at the checkout, he respectfully apologized for the technical issues but that's that.
We choose to book the most expensive room for something we could't use, for a bed the cheapest would have also been enough, a lot of money for nothing.
This was our first, but also definitely our...
Read moreNOT really adult friendly: We overpaid for an apartment with 2 bedrooms,2 bathrooms and a living room despite the fact that its just the two of us because the hotel promised "adult friendly" experience and has this claim on its website, brochures, even the elevators. So you can imagine our suprise when there was a loud 2 year old at the breakfast table next to us for several days or a family with 3 kids at dinner.(we noticed several other kids in the hotel) When we went to inquire the reception how is this possible, we were explained that there is a difference between "adult friendly" and "adult only". Here, basically, as long as you pay for the child the adult price, you can bring as many screaming toddlers and children as you want. They just wont provide a small chair at the restaurant. Thats the whole difference. How would you call these marketing practices? The hotel cannot deliver its promise and knows it so unethical deceitful marketing would be a fitting description.
Otherwise, the chef and the restaurant were amazing and hotel staff very well trained and attentive. Hence the good 3* rating which we reluctantly gave.
We will...

We paid VIP apartment and slept first night in the smoke and cold room while we had fire place and wet wood which caused us tons of smoke…WIFI connection was not working and in the moment we requested password for wifi in conference room (which was in the neighborhood), we got rejected. I wanted to talk with responsible management and whole day was not able NO ONE to come and talk to us. For 500€ per room per night we expected better service and approach to clients - specially from 4*hotel. If u have desire to have good services and experience rather go to hotel DRUZBA which is in the same place but for 500€ per night u will get high...
