Thermal ŠÍRAVA HOTEL — Hotel in Kaluža

Traveled as a lesbian couple. ||Everything was amazing, especially the service and food - worthy of a 4* hotel. The rooms were not soundproofed enough, but when had problems with our room at night, since our neighbors had small children and just let them cry without doing anything about it, we were given a different room immediately between silent older childless couples. The beds were 8,9, the service 10, the pools 9 the food 10/10. ||The aqua park is new, well build, well taken care of. The nude section has 7 saunas, a giant jacuzzi and works the entire afternoon and evening every day. The thermal pool is perfect, even when it was 5°C and we had to take 8 steps outside to enter the pool. It was so peaceful, especially after sundown. The thermal pool was 40°C. Location - from one side highway with fuel station, from other side parking place.||Check in - quate long - we spend there about 10 minutes, as the front desk lady conversated with her colleagues. ||Rooms - modern room with a clear view glass door to the bathroom with no curtain, so if u are here with your colleague during the business trip, u have no privacy. Minibar incl. in room price.||Restaurant - very "unpersonal" desing, too much light, no decoration, so we have decided to have dinner somewhere else. Breakfast fulfill 4* expectations.||Wellness is out of hotel, u have to walk about 150 metres - this could be problem while raining.||Conclusion - 150 EUR per night during the week is a lot for this type of property - does not offer nice views, room size is small, 100 EUR would be more...

We needed a short break, and the hotel and the adjacent spa provided just that. Staff is friendly, both breakfast and dinner options were tasty and plentiful. The room was not big, but efficiently designed and comfortable. We were pleasantly surprised that we could recharge our electric car on the hotel premises. The hotel offers a small discount for the excellent spa (payments for drinks etc. at the spa can be directly added to one’s hotel bill) and also provides a bag with towel and bathrobe. In winter, the surrounding area is deserted and boarded up, so basically the spa (and a walk) is your single source of entertainment - which suited us fine.
