HotelEuro Pension Salas — Hotel in Vinné

I used to love this place, 10-12 years ago this was probably the best restaurant around Šírava. I decided to visit this place after like 5 years from last time I was there and the quality did not change. What we ordered was garlic soup, steak 'Salaš' in fried potato dough, chicken soup and natural chicken breast with rice. Soups were tasting good only the cheese in garlic soup was clearly old as the edges were darker and though (which is common for old eidam cheese), chicken breast was ok but insted of rice they brought us potatoes... But the main problem was the steak. This stake is supposed to be their signature meal as it wields the name of the hotel but couldn't be any further in terms of quality as it was now. Photo is attached, black spots on top indicate overfried oil and the potato dough inside was raw. This also happened 5 years ago where they did not even bother to fry half of the steak. Very poor service and the meals are, just...not great, not terrible - for sure, for these prices the portions should be bigger. The mutton goulash was very disappointing, tasteless and thin - it looked like the worst meat was chopped including bones and cooked with a lot of oil.. One of the worst goulashes in my life. The staff didn't greet us upon coming in, they even did not stand up and put away their phones! I should have asked, if they work right now, in order to get their attention. I really thought they are maybe closed. The meals were not brought together at once to the table, this is unacceptable. The waitress even doesn't know, how to serve a plate properly. I had a delightful dining experience at Salaš restaurant in Širava. The food was incredibly tasty, and the service was impressively fast. Our waitress, Diana, was not only friendly but also very professional, ensuring that our needs were met throughout the meal. I highly recommend trying the pirohy and bryndzové halušky, as they were absolutely delicious. The restaurant has a pleasant ambiance, and the added bonus of free parking made our visit even more convenient. Overall, I had a fantastic time and would gladly return to Salaš for another...
