Booked here as a stopover during our cycling tour. The location is great - nearby to the old town and its many restaurants & ice cream shops. The hotel itself is quite quirky and s but strange. The beautiful ivy all over the external walls and greenery providing shade are lovely. Our room was adequate for 1 night. Strange mixture of styles though. But the bed was comfy. Bathroom had a massage shower that would have been amazing when new but sadly had seen better days. Breakfast buffet was below average. The hotel listing & website describe that it has a pool (very tiny & dirty - wouldn’t swim in it), volleyball court (unkempt, full of weeds and looks like it hasn’t been used for 10 years or more) plus a bowling alley (amazingly yes there is a small bowling alley in the main inside area and locals/guests do use it). Read moreWhat a place. You feel like you are somewhere in Italy. It is hidden behind the gate. Easy to find. Friendly staf, they have a bar and a bowling. Plenty of space for children. We had room no. 5. For one night. It was opposite the entrance to the bar. It was a bit noisy during the night. Loud music and guests. The room is spacious with high ceilings decorated in an 18th-century style, with authentic doors, furnishings (some of those authentic and some imitation ) typical of the great aristocratic homes. This charming garden inside provides beautiful green surroundings that make this place peaceful and romantic....
