Pension Tofi — Hotel in Nitra

The facility has gone downhill over the past year or so. The staff is no longer very welcoming and helpful. Even with our little Slovak, the new attendant doesn't really try to understand. There was no heat despite Autumn nights beginning to be chilly. At about 4:30am, there was a lot of loud pounding going on. Breakfast was very late, and of much poorer quality than in the past. The cheapest bread and rolls were offered, as well as substandard cold cuts. The ham was beginning to sour. There was no cheese as is usually found in comparable breakfasts. The fruit was seriously distressed. The attendant couldn't even get the coffee machine...

We stayed at the Tofi in 2014, and found it really good. The room was clean and well-appointed, the staff attentive and professional, the breakfast very good. This time, it was quite different. The room was still good, but it was difficult to communicate with the staff. The main desk person spoke almost no English, unlike the last time. At breakfast the next morning, the staffer was unable to get the coffee machine to work, and disappeared for about 15 minutes, eventually bringing in two cold and quite undistinguished plates of food. I hate to review a place poorly that was formerly so good, but it really didn't deserve more...

CELKOVÝ DOJEM 10/10 Nádherné ubytovanie v útulnom prostredí a atmosfére na kopci s výhľadom na Zobor. LOKALITA 10/10 Maximálne tichá lokalita s cestou 10 min autom do centra. Na pešo sa môžete prejsť 10 min do reštaurácie Buginka, kde varia velmi chutne. PROSTREDIE A ATMOSFÉRA 10/10 Dom s veľkým pozemkom, parkovaním zdarma a zadnou teraskou s altánkom kde môžete tráviť čas úplne bez poplatku. HOSTITEĽKA 10/10 Veľmi milá a príjemná hostiteľka, o penzión sa stará dôkladne a dbá o pohodlie a spokojnosť svojich hostí. CENA 10/10 Cena ma veľmi milo prekvapila, nakoľko bola nízka a penzión je na úrovni hotela. IZBA A POHODLIE 10/10 Izby a celkovo penzión je čistý, presvetlený a útulný, majú kvalitné postele a matrace, takže sa skvelo vyspíte. tiež moderné vybavenie, na izbe krásne ustlané, TV, čajový a kávový set s konvicou. Nachystané uteráky a toaletné potreby. Penzión postupne prechádza rekonštrukciami, myslím že má veľký potenciál. RAŇAJKY - Penzión poskytuje aj raňajky, ktoré som síce nevyužila ale nepochybujem o tom že sú výborné a pekne nachystané ako všetko ostatné bolo. Raňajková miestnosť má aj terasku s výhľadom na Nitru kde si môžete na slniečku v kľude vypiť kávu.

Na konci pobytu ma penziónom previedla hostiteľka, ktorá má k tomuto penziónu vzťah, čo je aj cítiť, pretože sa u nej cítite naozaj ako doma. Tento penzión na mňa zanechal veľký dojem a určite sem...
