The hotel is out of the centre but it’s location offers splendid views of the town. The rooms are well kept and spacious. The mini-bar offers a range of refreshment options - not unreasonable prices. Free WiFi keeps you entertained and connected. The hotel uses Ubiquiti devices to provide coverage should there be any geeks reading. I didn’t find any dead spots.||I arrived too late to take advantage of the laundering service, but the staff were happy to lend me an iron and ironing board.||The restaurant offers spectacular views. Not a place to dine alone as the combination of view, lighting and soft music makes it a romantic setting. I can recommend the lamb, the fish soup and a steak with chilli sauce. Typical prices seem to be around €20 per dish. The steaks vary depending on size. Room service is available should the restaurant not be your thing.||The staff are friendly and helpful - creating a comfortable and welcoming atmosphere.||My only gripe is that the “soft” music in the hall never seems to stop - so my sleep was disturbed as a result. Build with EU money for the family of notorious Slovak criminal Norbert Bodor. The interior is luxurious, but serves only to the owner and his criminal friends. Mostly they will simply decline your booking. It is a private castle, visitors are welcome only from abroad Slovakia, as they do not know to whom the hotel belongs and what kind of people they are meeting there. They will probably reply how many famous people stayed there, but for sure they will not add that their owners are investigated or already sentenced for EU money frauds and other criminal activities including participation in the murder of journalist Jan Kuciak and his fiancee. They will definitely not tell you for what money the hotel was build. And they will not tell you what kind of name its owner bears in Slovakia.
