the general impression was crossed out by the attitude of the staff in the medical center: rude and corrupt workers(mineral pool/magnets). cons of the hotel: monotonous food, especially breakfast, it seems like there is a lot of food, but if you stay for more than a week, you don’t want to eat, it will get tired of everything, there is some problem in every room: broken hair dryer in one room, no hot water in another, water does not come down, the faucet lock in the shower is broken, or water with sand from the tap, while they declare that it is drinkable ... and they don’t put bottled water in the room. there are no air conditioners, no mosquito nets, but there is a river and a forest, that’s why the walls are smeared with dead mosquito remnants. the rooms in the Alameda part are outdated like 30 years ago, repairs need to be done there, everything smells of old age. when you check in, they sell you a program, without warning that it includes the cheapest and most unnecessary procedures and you can’t change them later. doctors in the medical center work very poorly, they don’t even look at medical documents and pictures, but they write everywhere ‘take them with you’. For what? if you haven't even checked what the person's problem is. Dr. Katarina was very annoyed that she had patients, because she only made herself coffee. the head employee of the mineral pool office takes bribes and lets people out of the queue from the street without receipts from the spa. the cleaning is strange, it seems to be there, the staff is trying, but the toilet rim has not been washed even once in almost a month. the staff at the restaurant (with green sofas) is also strange, the men are ok, and the blonde woman behaved inappropriately, ignoring the requests of the guests. pluses of the hotel: the reception staff try to be nice, there were no problems with them, except for the moment with the sale of the treatment program, the managers solve all the problems associated with the hotel promptly, but it would be better to eliminate these problems immediately, rather than solve them. porter well done, the staff at the therapeutic mud is also a polite lady. cleaning ladies are friendly, almost all. The water pressure in the shower is good, the linen is clean. the heat in the hotel was turned on when there were cold days, wall dryers are everywhere, but they work from central heating if it is warm outside , they will not work. towels absorb well. parking is available if you are a hotel guest - 2 euros / day. But when you spend at hotel few thousands euros, taking money for the parking… it is strange. large area, you can walk. in general, the old wing of the hotel needs renovation and thorough general cleaning + it's time to teach the staff of the medical center how to work with people, not to be rude to them and not to...
Read moreMost of The spa & health and wellness staff are extremely rude & i’ve been holding my tongue because im a foreigner and here for my wellbeing & didn’t want any problems, i was 10 minutes late due to health issues which is why im at this vacation , they could’ve just told me “ you’re late which is why you have to reschedule with the doctor or spa receptionists” instead of two of them shouting to my face no we’ll not take you you’re late so i told them “its ok its ok” just to calm them down because there was no reason for them to shout and they replied “no its not ok!” I find it extremely rude & they didn’t give me a chance to explain. I got frustrated because I couldn’t get i word in and cried from frustration & the way they handled that situation infront of other visitors i was completely embarrassed. And i was never late to any of my sessions just this time because i wasn’t feeling well & they didn’t take it into consideration. Im still at the spa and have a couple of days left i can’t wait to leave honestly! The receptionists & the hotel staff are very nice in esplanade , but the spa and wellness staff at ensana which is part of the hotels spa and wellness center need to work on their attitude towards visitors and especially foreigners, not only arab foreigners they were rude to british/ italians and other nationalities too just because we don’t speak your language doesn’t give you the right to speak to us this way , we all spoke proper english maybe its time for the staff to learn. Im paying for my wellness sessions they make you feel like they’re doing it for free and your begging for it. Really disappointed & i doubt ill be coming back here...
Read moreFirst time visit after what people being saying about this hotel. To be honest its worst than I expected. Started treatment a day after arriving to Slovakia and I don't understand how others praise so much, most workers are rude and unprofessional. Don't get me wrong there are a few wonderful workers and polite but the majority are not they let by yourself and don't give much instructions of what to do. My first time in mirror pool i slipped and hurt my foot with no one there, other sessions like fitness they don't tell what exercises you should do!. There is one guy in health reception area is very rude and disrespectful to others. I paid a premium for 2 people and full board and the service and treatment are not worth the money. Food is below basic and we spent more money eating out. For so many people from the middle east that comes to this spa management don't care to provide halal food for Muslims. Some policies of the spa is to be fully naked in some treatment areas which are unacceptable to many Muslims that comes here and spend a lot of money. There are so many thing's I can write and say but it will take me a long time and am in pain most of the time due to back injury. To sum this up it will be the last time I will come to Piestany and to Ensana esplanade health spa... am sure there are many other places that has same or better results than here. I've spent 10 days so far and have 10 more and I can't...
