Hotel & Apartments Bolfenk — Hotel in Hoče-Slivnica

General the pool is free to use but it is cold the sauna is 26€ surcharge, and for two steambaths and two saunas that’s not worth it. When we went the steambaths were not even hot and one of the saunas has color changing lights - however the lights changed very suddenly and in between it was completely dark? The sauna was also not at the advertised temperature at all. the power went out in our room on our last night

Room the room is large enough, but the beds were uncomfortable (one very hard, the other very soft) The daily room cleaning did not even get rid of obvious dirt and dust in the entryway They also gave us new towels every day even though we put them on the hanger to keep using it In terms of sustainability: there’s unpackaged bathrobes to rent in the room for 6€ - however if they’re not used they’d still have to be cleaned for hygiene after each guest as they’re in the room the entire time - that’s very unsustainable The shutters on the windows slam against the wall at night if its windy The door is thin and you can hear everything happening in the hallway

Food breakfast is okay but coffee is very bitter. Most days for warm options at breakfast there were three versions of eggs and two or three meats - nothing else that’s hot and vegetarian until our last day (pancakes & halloumi) The vegan milk option is rice milk only Dinner was worse, the salad bar had less options each day, the pasta was overcooked and the sauce a thick undefined mass, the vegetarian options were always just some random over or undercooked vegetable without sauce or anything else. Some days there was bread and cheese, some days not. the dessert options were clearly industrially made and had no taste at all.

Staff reception staff was kinda messy, it took forever to find our booking and they were downright rude when we wanted to...

We stayed in the apartment 6+1 with two kids. The apartment has 3x the price compared to other similar apartments on Pohorje. I guess that's due to other facilities in the vicinity - free pool, sauna, self service restaurant, ski school and rent (but all of these are paid extra). However, the apartment itself is quite outdated and has heavy marks of usage. The tap water was brown, which is "normal" (according to the receptionist), and hygiene is spoty - in general it's clean, but the second toilet has really bad smell and one of the extra beds was very dirty with big pieces of black dust all over it. The beds are also not very comfortable, I woke up in pain. Supposedly they don't have any other matters option or softer overlay. We also had breakfast and dinner in the hotel restaurant. Overall the food was acceptable, except for mashed potatoes, which looked and tasted like they were made from dehydrated mash. The apartment building is placed in a beautiful hotel village. The staff was very friendly overall and we felt very welcome. Also the service is good. Overall, it's not terrible, but definitely not worth the price (given the other options). We're probably not coming back here and will rather take something else given...

Hotel & Apartments Bolfenk in need of improvements

I recently stayed at Hotel & Apartments Bolfenk and unfortunately, my experience was not living up to the four starts the hotel has. One of the most frustrating aspects of my stay was the lack of working wifi throughout the entire apartment.

Moreover, the apartment was lacking in basic amenities and seemed to be missing some essential items. Simple things like a kettle and cutting board were absent from the kitchen, making it difficult to prepare even a basic meal.

To make matters worse, there were several broken things in the apartment. From a malfunctioning showerhead to a faulty lamp, it was evident that the maintenance of the property was lacking.

Additionally, the staff was unable to help with any of the problems in the apartment and the problems suddenly was a personal problem for the guests. It is disheartening to feel that the money spent on accommodation did not result in a pleasant and hassle-free stay.

Overall, my stay at Hotel & Apartments Bolfenk mostly lives up to the 4 stars the hotel has received with a few major lacks, and I hope improvements are made to enhance the...
