Eagle's Nest Ljubljana — Hotel in Upravna Enota Ljubljana

First of all, Maja is a wonderful person and an amazing host! I ran into some really bad accommodations that my elderly aunt booked on her own, and due to space limitations she couldn't stay where I was staying at the time, so I started looking for a solution that same day. Worth mentioning, this is late December (27th or 28th), just before New Year's, everything is booked, and very expensive. If you find anything remotely affordable, it doesn't look very nice... Luckily I came across Maja's place that was not only available the same day, it looked very nice, basically walking distance from the old town center, and it was priced extremely fairly. Maja helped us move in, explained everything, very attentive and caring. She would help my aunt up and down the stairs every day during her stay when I wasn't around, explain the bus routes to the city center, suggest local shops/bars/restaurants... Anything and everything you can think of, she will do to help you out. Beyond just her lovely personality, the room that my aunt stayed at was immaculately clean, very chic and cute. Bathroom at that particular place, although shared if I remember correctly, was extremely spacious, with completely new finishes and almost spa-like feel to it. Since we are very spontaneous couple, we woke up at home and decided to visit Ljubljana. On the way to the Ljubljana, I’ve booked the Eagle’s Nest and communication with Maja was very quick and pleasant. Maja send us all the information together with video that explains every detail.

Several things I appreciate the most: There is a self check in, so you don’t have to wait the host or arrive at the exact time, it’s very flexible. House is super clean - and by that I mean that each space in the house is super clean - from the bathroom, room and the whole house. Recommendation is to take off your shoes on the entrance to keep the place clean. In the area before the room there is a little kitchen with all supplies that you may need - from coffee, cookie, tea, etc. Bathroom (which I already mentioned as super clean) also has everything you need (in case your forgot something) from deodorant, pads, etc. Room is super clean, but also super modern

Overall, we’ve been in lots of hotels with 4 or 5 stars, also Airbnb’s, but this accommodation is the most beautiful one with super approachable host. Location for us was also great (25 min by walk). High recommendation!

Room in a detached house in a very quiet and peaceful area, 20 minutes walk from Ljubljana. You can also reach the centre of Ljubljana by bus or bike (bus stop and bike rental very close to the house). The walking route is very pleasant and along the river to the centre of Ljubljana. The house is provided of private parking for your car, essential in Ljubljana.

Our room (number 104) was really nice and very spacious. The furnishings and design of the room and its private bathroom are modern, minimalist with attention to detail. The room is very clean and also equipped with coffee capsules, tea bags and infusions, cups and mugs. The bathroom has a great shower. We also had a small balcony with a bench with cushions, candles and matches.

Although we checked in ourselves, we did not miss the reception as the hosts were helpful and welcoming from the first phone contact. They sent us very useful videos for self check-in, videos for walking to the centre and advice on where to eat.
