this place is for fans of pork, especially the Slovenian Krškopolje type which is slightly more intense and packed with flavors compared with the regular variant.
homemade pate with honey & truffles and the smoked dried sausage are a great introduction to the menu. served alongside a soft and warm lepinja type of bread it is quite a delight
get yourself a bottle of the Barbera from San Martin, and you are set for quite a feast
the neck meat (vrat) and the grilled sausage (pecenica) - both from the krškopoljski pig - are delicious picks for the main course. savory, very umami-ish and well complemented by the wine

The restaurant is very quiet and calm. The owners were such a delight to encounter and had a nice chat with them.
Even the prices are reasonable for the generous portions and outstanding taste!

Location is very nice, few minutes walk from Preseren square next to Ljubljanica. Ambient is really nice, the service super friendly. The waiter gave good recommodations based on our food preferences. And wide offers of slovenian food/products.
And really nice slovenian wine! Also starters! We tried red, white wine, Viljamovka, Pelinkovec …
The “pasteta” fresh pate with honey and trufes - OMG, a must try! We were 3 girls and ate it all!:)
The prices are affordable and good for the quality. If you are looking for a touristic cliche, maybe that is not for you, but if you are looking for a good slovenian food and hospitality experience - that is the...
