Lovely bar/Tea House/Ice cream parlour in the heart of Ljubljana, in green scenery at Botanical Garden of Ljubljana. Generous variety of black, green and herbal teas, delicious home made ice cream, tasteful gin tonics acompanied with cakes and cookies that are hand made and melt in mouth. Tea house Primula also offers its own craft beer, very special taste, a bit on a heavier and bitter side, but delightful. Ask for KULT316 beer 🍺🍻 Come to Primula as often as you can if u live in Ljubljana, but it's a definite must if you are just traveling through and visiting capital of Slovenia. You will love Botanical Garden Ljubljana and enjoy your rest stop at Primula to refresh yourself with a chosen drink or pastries (and/or ice cream) while taking a break in a green oasis of Ljubljana...
Read moreCute little place hidden inside the botanical garden of Ljubljana. Maybe not the biggest or grandest garden you could visit, it is worth to come here and stroll around. One of the main reasons being this great caffee! They also offer lactofree and plant based milk. We also received a tall glass of water along with it, which definitely is not standard, and we greatly appreciated it in such heat!
If you are lucky enough, they will have their homemade ice cream - the sorbet are free of milk, so suitable for vegans and anyone with lactose or milk intolerance. I had the cherry and mango one - both tasted heavenly and were like frozen mushed up fruit. Incredible!
They also offer home baked sweets and treats to take with you. Don't miss this spot on your visit in...

This is, hands down, the best ice cream in town. What makes it even more special is that it's run by culinary students from the nearby school center, bringing a fresh and creative touch to every flavor.
While other local favorites like Romantika, Vigo, Cacao, and Zvezda certainly offer great options, this place stands out for its commitment to quality and natural ingredients. The ice cream here has the highest fruit content, noticeably less sugar, and the portion sizes are generous.
If you're looking for a more natural, fruit-forward ice cream experience, this is the...
