Love this hotel. First the receptionist was quite fierce when our tour leader was asking some questions. When I went to look for my room, there were no room numbers on the doors. I scrutinized the keyholes on a few doors. Then holy moly, the numbers are on the floor in front of the rooms! How silly do I feel! There was a welcome message on the TV, that was a nice surprise! An old telephone sat on the table. As I was trying to find the switch for the lamp, the phone rang. Should I answer? Our tour leader told us she once had a room that the lights flicker on and off like motion detection. She said she was in bed and didn't move. You understand what I mean? So should I answer the phone? I did. I said hello and it was the receptionist calling to say breakfast could be ready by 7 am next morning. She sounded very pleasant and friendly. I went down and asked if she was the one who just called. She said yes. I complimented her on her sweet voice and friendliness on the phone. She was very happy!

Next morning at breakfast, we understood why we need to be at breakfast at designated timing. It was overwhelming for the restaurant when everyone needs breakfast at the same time. Breakfast is buffet and we were allowed to order an item from the menu. The one66 house burger is simply yummy. It is large for me so it makes sense to share rather than waste food.

Oh, the toilets do not indicate male or female. The brinjal is for male and the peach, female.

The hotel is a new one, they welcomed us with a drink which was great. The lady working at reception was really polite. The hotel is in a bit of a hipster style which is really refreshing and it looks cool. Some of the things we noticed though during our stay is the noise/buzzing coming from the fridge in the room and a large amount of hair (which we had to remove) in the shower sink (i.e. it was not cleaned that good). The breakfast was great, the gym looks really cool and overall we had a nice stay (even with the things mentioned previously). What happened afterwards is what influenced the score a lot. I was in the hotel with my partner and none of us smoke or we ever did and I got the following message from the hotel a couple of days after the visit: Dear Mr. Domazet, after your check out our hosuekeeping team discovered that someone had smoked in the room. As of that behaviour we could not rent out that room as we had to clean it throughout and lost at least 100€. We would like that never happens again in case you visit us again. This is a very unprofessional way of communication without even checking if someone is a smoker. I will definitely not be returning here and will not be suggesting this hotel to anyone. If I did not receive this message (or this message in this tone) I would definitively be doing the opposite. The managers should think about who they hire as that can ruin even a nice hotel...
