Count a good 30 minutes walk to the city center. Friendly staff. The rooms are located 3rd floor of the gymnasium and from the the corridors you can look down into the sport hall. The room looks like a renovated university room, which has all the amenities needed. This shoudln't stop you from booking if you are looking for a clean yet affordable place to stay. It's not very cosy but it has everything you need and its not unpleasant either. Walls are white and flashy light green in a slightly lighter shade than the external hotel walls. We payed 63 euro for a twin room booking last minute. The bathroom is new. Overall clean if you don't look in details : dust on top of the rails of the electric dryer and up the cupboard (discovered this when trying to hang up clothes I just washed). Also, found a few moskitoes smashed on doors and curtains. There is a small balcony which hangs over the flat roof of the gymnasium (no good to relax on, but great if you smoke). ||Last thing to add : I stayed here end of September and it wasn't that cold outside but the hwating was turned on with the thermostat at 25° (sauna like feeling and not so...
Read moreAfter trudging all over Croatia, Bosnia, Herzegovina, Montenegro and staying at family apartments without hotel facilities for 20days, Sports Hotel is a breath of relief.||||Centrally located, within walking distance (30mins in lovely Springtime weather, what's not to love?) to city centre or get them to call taxi for u (only €3-4) , nice supermarket (which we can borrow staff's bicycle to ride there ) and many nearby eateries within 5 mins...There's nothing to fault here.||||We have to profess we thoroughly love the place for the price that we paid. ||And with free car parking!||||Clean, quiet and with a fully loaded functioning communal kitchen where we can cook up a storm if we got sick of eating out! ||||Would highly recommend to anyone looking for affordable accomodation to rest well before going out the whole day for explorations.||||I would come back to stay here anytime if I am ever here again...
Read moreFreezing cold room I asked if the towel radiator in the bathroom could be turned on as I had clothes to dry and also to heat the room a little as the heating didn't work I was advised that they would have to turn on all the radiators in the hotel and not just mine so they couldn't do it, it was-2 outside!! I ended up getting a fever and sore throat and still had two more cities to visit which were spent in bed. Also there is a boiler that was on constantly for 24 hours in the room next door, a loud drone, it said it was a maintenance room that also added to the negative review I'm giving, ridiculous to have someone stay in that room. The staff were nice although getting the heating turned on would...
