This was far the best youth hostel we stayed out of the 4 we tried in Slovenian Istria. It's rather a hotel. We stayed as a family of 2 adults 1 small child for 2 nights. We got a private room with its own private bathroom, toilet. We received buffet breakfast with wide variety of different things to put on your toast/bread, and wide variety of different teas. Coffee machine is fairly good. The all-round Porter/Helper man was always around and supporting every request. The receptionists were friendly, kind, helpful and knowledgeable. The bunk beds were very comfortable and wide enough to share one with my son. It was clean and fresh. We received parking lot as well right in front of the youth hostel. Sea side, sandy beach is really just 3-6 minutes walk, there's a super market, fruit stand, lots of restaurants super close by. For me and my family this was a really outstanding stay. Thank you so much! The negative I could mention were the fellow tourist staying there and being noisy from 20:00 until about 04:00 in the morning. And it was a surprise to be able to listen to classical concert music from the...
Read moreWe had a wonderful time in Portoroz, mainly because of great accommodation. With great location, 20 meters from main bus station in Portoroz, Europa Hostel is located in beautiful park, very close to the beach. It was very clean and well organized hostel. Receptionist-owner was very friendly and helpful. Rooms are spacious and interesting, because each has its own theme. Prices are affordable and atmosphere is very homelike. I would recommend this hostel to everyone, especially to those who had no previous experience with hostel...

The rooms are a little bit small there isn’t a lot of space to move, at least in the 6 bed room. It’s kind of a family hostel not too much to do for young people travelling around. The breakfast is pretty basic, like coffee and toast. It’s okay for...
