Boutique Rooms& Winery Žorž — Hotel in Vipava

We had a two night stay in this beautiful old winery in the Vipava region. Much of the building was constructed in 1696 making it a mindbogglingly old hotel. It very much encourages guest to be social with free pour wines (pay when you leave), wine tastings and a beautiful garden setting to enjoy a bottle (or two!) and a prosciutto and cheese platter. The rooms are large and comfortable with good beds and spacious bathrooms. Views of the gardens of valley below are available. We loved our stay in the Zorz guesthouse. The rooms are really clean and were just renovated. The service was extraordinary and the breakfast was really tasty. In the evening we did the wine tasting that is offered and we can only recommend to do it. The atmosphere was lovely and the tasting was well managed. The wines taste really good and they are served with a nice plate of food. Options for vegetarians are available. Excellent friendly family run boutique hotel and winery. I would recommend the wine tasting as a good introduction to the local wines. The breakfast is amazing. Rooms are very clean and well proportioned. Jan our host on the first night was very helpful in his suggestions for local wineries to visit. I would certainly stay here again next time I am visiting.
