Elephant Springs Hotel & Apartments — Hotel in Bela Bela Local Municipality

Our stay at the cabanas was horrifying. The rooms were not clean. Cockroaches everywhere from the toilet to the microwave even in the beds. Disgusting. Several members of our family complained about the cleanliness or the lack of cleanliness. All we got was a can of doom and clean sheets. Upon arrival one of the cabanas had no towels, we requested and only got towels a few hours later in the night. Shower was dirty as well as the toilets. We had to go across to the store to get domestos and airfreshners. The toilets smelt like public toilets. Shower curtain was hanging on by three hooks. Noise disturbance in the cabanas, a sign and the rules clearly stated no alcohol or music at the poolside. But other visitors clearly didn't get that copy of rules and regulations . And when we complained to the management on duty all they did was send a security guard to ask those visitors to stop. Which never happened. All those visitors did was shout and scream and insult us as they were drunk and unruly. We went for a family get away. We had kids with us. and other visitors at the cabanas using the pool area were very indecent. How do we as conservative people explain that type of behaviour on impressionable children. My sister in law and brother in law did take the matter further with the management and owners of the property and not much of a surprise all they got was an apology. They have been going to this cabana for over ten years. After this experience we would never go there again. They shouldn't put up pictures that are old when the buildings were neat and clean. And still charge exorbitant rates. That's false advertising. Misleading the people. Overall won't even rate...

We booked the hotel for 3 nights online 2 go on a baecation, checked in Friday, the lady at front desk took us 2 our room. To our surprise, they reserved a room with 2 separate single beds. Went ballistic & ask 2 speak 2 the manager 2 ask if they have seen couples whom sleep in 2 different beds? She didn't come forth, just told the receptionist 2 give us another room which was the last available one. Got there, the room had this bad smell in the bathroom especially, we opened the sliding door 4 fresh air. Summing up of our stay, the place was not what we saw and loved online (false advertising), the room was not up to standard at all, coachroches visited us since day one until day of checkout, the aircon had a leak, one of the cleaning ladies was impolite when she came 2 clean the room, the breakfast served was not nice (only enjoyed eating yoghurt, Brown bread with scrambled eggs & bacon. Couldn't eat their mince & baked beans). Only enjoyed the breakfast on the morning of checking out. The hotel and Cabanas needs some serious renovations. Close the place down if needs be whilst doing proper fumigation, renovation etc thereafter upload new pics of the place, advertise the place much better e.g shoot a video of the place stating why should ministers, celebs, members of the public etc should come and enjoy their stay, show yo different rooms for a single person, couple or family. Maybe also have honey moon suite, renovate yo halls, change all yo furnisher. Yo money well spent will bring in lots of...

More of a contractors accommodation rather than a Hotel, this hotel is smelly, soggy, dirty and unpleasant. My first experience on this unhygienic place was when I was booking in at the Reception, the reception counter was sticky to my hands and that indicated to me that it was probably near cleaned or polished in years. The room was very basic with a very old mattress that even the bed linen was following the humps and bumps on the surface. No soap or toiletries were provided and the shower had the same tiles as the walls which was extremely slippery and dangerous. (Not non-slip tiles in the shower). I did not use their towels because they didn't look clean. The premise has no visible security at night and there is no driveway gates in the parking which is totally unsafe for vehicles. Dinner was boring but the breakfast was very good (a good buffet). The pics on google are very misleading it was probably taken years ago when this Hotel may have been popular and good. Housekeeping is virtually non-existent as the papers lying on the passage and stairway was there for two days, neither was the waste paper bins emptied. My room had dust, pieces on tissue and hair on the floor when I checked. Wifi is slow and only works in the dining area. This Hotel has great potential but definitely the current owners have no passion for tourism and situated within walking distance to all the major shops and Forever Resorts.
