Oceans nest guest house — Hotel in Bloubergstrand

I wanted to give a 4 or 5 star but after much consideration I decided a 3 star due to the things I did find out. At first the place is amazing when we walked into the king Size Room ...quite spacious after my experience in a Road Lodge Room. The bathroom was lovely with the huge tub and no broken shower doors like the one we experienced at Beachway B&B in Port Elizabeth. There was an amazing view of table mountain and we could see Robbin Island as well. Maybe less than 500m to the beach ....just to cross the road. So I was really taken by their price and the friendly and amazing staff who even put us up for another night. The breakfast was brought to our room due us being busy with work and they did not even look irritated to do that ...so I was really feeling the good vibe. Breakfast if you look at the pictures was lovely...

I guess one has to stay just a wee bit longer to really catch the realities of a place. So it started with me asking for the iron to iron my clothes which I saw in my wardrobe and now was not there anymore...when asked to use it ...was told they would show us where to go to iron our clothes. My question was what where they doing ruffling through the wardrobe?

Then to my horror ...I on the second day of breakfast decided to have butter on my bread ...saw that it was expired for 2 years ...and the jam as well...it looked weird so I checked the date and thanked God I did not eat it yesterday...my poor husband had though and it smelt like Ghee and looked off. Which made us think of what else what expired and that we were eating...really did not settle well.

If you do go and book make sure to take your own towels as we got dirty ones with public hair and what looked like the remnants of an adult night. ...quite disgusting.

Though I still think that if they worked on those issues and it would make for a lovely place to stay in... If management reads this please take note ...I would love to come back ...Service by Gamo was excellent but the other issues needs to be dealt with urgently. Will...

This is an incredible place to stay! There is parking inside a garage. The lady comes down and helps with all the bags. We stayed in a family room - that room was huge! It has an aircon in every room. You also get DSTV, a stove, microwave, kettle, dishwasher and a fridge. There is also a small court yard outside your room. The place is secure, well maintained and clean! The owner and the 2 ladies who work there are fantastic! They love to talk to you and help with anything you need. For breakfast you get bacon, egg, toast, mushrooms, sausage, hashbrowns, and a tomato. There is extra toast with jam. Coffee is available, as well as juice. The highlight of the place is the INCREDIBLE VIEW! You overlook the ocean with table mountain in the background while sitting outside and chilling at the pool. I can 110% recommend this place! Very Friendly and helpful staff even assisted with our bags.. The other room is cosy, very tidy and neat. Beautiful kitchen on ground floor available for all the guests to make use of if you need to cook something..with a sit down area to enjoy your meals .... Barbecue area on deck looking over the ocean has an amazing view ...with a nice size pool area . The only problem we had was the WiFi... currently NO WiFi as advertised..... And it is not a bed and breakfast with breakfast vouchers as Agoda advertised ... Angie the owner explained the WiFi situation was with her service provider ...and we understood it completely..but it was still a down if you coming out for business /work purpose ...
