WOW! What a pleasure to find accommodation that clearly has been built, decorated and stocked with love! Just look at the quality hinges on the shutters and you will see that the historic Langhuis was redecorated to honour the heritage, to offer comfort and excellence and not for a 'quick buck'! Being chilly we chose this accommodation fir the electric blankets. These are offered for comfort and are not a requirement for star rating - a clear indication of the care. After a long journey we were welcomed by Julia who recommended Hello You Restaurant which was stylish and chic, yet cosy, with delicious fare. In the MORNING Julia offered us a delicious, well-presented breakfast. We had intended to leave really early but we were so enjoying the atmosphere. Will definitely choose to stay at Langhuis again. This tranquil, spacious and historic Karoo homestead is indeed an oasis in the Karoo. The interiors are minimalistic and with a French country feel. Julia gave us five star service: from the relevant info supplied upfront, to preparing our delicious breakfasts. We loved our gorgeous room with quality linen, mattress and plush towels. Historic, luxury stay Julia welcomed us warmly. She was an outstanding hostess, and took care of us like gold. Langhuis boasts gorgeous interiors and decorative details. Our double room was spacious and was equipped with everything needed to make our stay comfortable – quality linen and plush towels, fragrant amenities, a lovely bathroom. We loved the expansive communal stoep, extensive garden and lounge, kitchen and dining room. Breakfast was superb – Julia is an excellent cook too! We would have loved to linger longer...
