Port Elizabeth Guest House — Hotel in Eastern Cape

We appreciate the last minute check in Saturday night it was our 2nd visit overnighting at the Guesthouse I thought we couldve been taken to our unit just to show this an that. It was just shown their is your unit an myself and my partner had to open up ourselfs. In the morning the Shower ran cold water. The bath only had hot water and because of water restrictions their is no bath plug which we understood. We had to sprinkle the hot water from the bath tap over us so that was not to pleasant because the mornings are cold. I brought it to the owners attention she said that she forgot to tel us its a solar geyser. She did check the following night after i sent her a message and then their was hot water running from the shower. She said it might be that the neighbours overused the water an i thought it should be brought to our attention as guests so we could consider other guests as well that uses that solar geyser. We where just few minutes late after 10 an one of the ladies working their came an knock so hard an we knew that 10 is check out. The delay was actually the cold water from the shower trying to see if their is hot water coming out. The TV also had a timer which we werent aware of while watching TV the night it went off after trying ways to cancel it. Overall we love the set up an the bed was so soft an comfortable we really enjoyed resting abit especially hearing the rain too it is definately a quiet relaxing area...

Hemos pasado dos noches en esta Guest House en nuestro último viaje a Sudáfrica.Después de la estancia tan estupenda y el recibimiento tan acogedor dado en la anterior Guest House , la llegada a esta fue un poco decepcionante . La señora ni siquiera entró en la casa ..nos abrió la puerta y desapareció , luego regreso su marido que era mas afable.||Para comenzar estaban en obras , parece que ampliando el establecimiento , no era un problema grande ,porque los operarios eran infinitamente mas simpáticos ,pero la zona estaba sucia y no era una vista bonita .Teniamos una habitación familiar en la zona izquierda de la casa , independiente con una terraza ,barbacoa y jardin . La casa tiene cocina independiente y un baño de buen tamaño con ducha y bañera, pero necesita un buen repaso , mi opinión es que le falta "cariño" ....en la cocina todo es viejo y estaba sucio , para la cena tuvimos que lavar todos los enseres ,estaban grasientos y con restos . Solamente había una copa para vino y un vaso desportillado ., ni un solo paño de cocina .La piscina estaba muy sucia con agua turbia y restos de hojas en el fondo y flotando , no hay ni una sola tumbona , ni siquiera sillas . Hay un banquito de piedra rodeando una mesa ,poco apropiado para tomar el sol ,nadie hizo ningún intento de limpiarla ||Nos contestaron a las dos consultas que les hicimos de forma concisa y sin ningún interés en facilitarnos la estancia en la zona. ||El desayuno es tipico inglés,nada especial y de calidad justa . Adjunto foto de uno de los bollos " con moho " ...los 4 que había estaban exactamente igual ..||Hay muchisima oferta en la zona con precios similares, de mucha mas calidad . ||He esperado al final del viaje para valorar el resto de los establecimientos en conjunto y este es el peor de los seis que utilizamos durante nuestro viaje con...

I'd definitely stay there again, Sarah was a brilliant Hostess and welcomed us with a warm heart.
