I was impressed with the seating outside & it was clearly a female's touch with the scatter cushions on the brick seating & throws over the wooden benches. As someone who consumes strictly Halaal only, I knew they didn't cater for us but still thought I'll take pics of the lovely little shop. A ex student of mine happened to be waitressing and because I love a good filtered coffee I thought its the perfect opportunity to chat to her so we ordered a coffee and to our utter dismay it was those hug in a mug or sachet coffees with its own sugar which they omitted to tell us and we also added sugar. Needless to say it was the most horrible coffee we ever tasted.
I just loved the set up of the little shop so cute & clever with the outside seating lending its own character to The Acres shopping centre but cannot vouch for its food at all and definitely do not recommend their coffee not at all.
After a nice email from the owner and reassurance that they only serve proper coffee I will be amending this review soon after taking them up on a "coffee on the house offer " and to find out why our coffee was sweetened already......
Read moreExtremely disappointed in the whole staff including management. We went to eat lunch there, besides waiting for such a long time, our food was awful, so bad in fact sent it back. A young waitress, who wasn't even ours could see we were not eating. She asked if everything was OK, I said no, chips are half cooked and showed her the oil dripping off my schnitzel, missed with the cheese sauce I was feeling quite nauseous. My husband got halfway through his and left it, stated it was like rubber. When she took the plate away she told one of the other waiters that was standing on the stairs, he loudly proclaimed, what is wrong with it, everyone could hear. I asked to see the manager, wanting to explain that she needs to talk to the kitchen staff. She proceeded to walk upstairs with our plates, came back down, looked at us and then proceeded to carry on working, not even aknowledging us. I asked the young girl who took our plates to please bring the bill. This young girl had the decency to apologize to us for the food. I really commend her as the manger didn't even have the decency to...
Read moreFood was okay, the lady brought my toast separate and told me the rest of my breakfast is coming soon...it was a bit weird as she didn't even give me Any butter or butter knife, only 2 pieces of dry toasts...the rest of my breakfast came like 15 minutes later and by then the toast was cold. I don't know what logic was behind it. There were limited windows and ventilation was poor, although it was a cold day, everyone overheated. We opened the sliding door next to us, only for the waitress who saw us opening it, close it again...it is very modern decorated. Overall it was an okay experience.there was also no toilets in...
