The room that was allocated to us was really not of good quality as there were no A/C in any rooms but this one the fan was not working properly and the TV was not working at all. We took a pool view room to be able to use the pool as it was so hot but the pool was covered and was green and we could not use it. This place is rated 4 stars and does not have air conditioners in the rooms. Once the owner was contacted she placed us in another room. I did expect her to at least see us the same day or early next morning but she only came to see us and apologise just before we checked out on the third morning.

The room we were given was filthy and had mosquitoes with wardrobes that look old, even the bath tub was not clean. We met 2 ladies who booked 2 weeks back but were given a very neat room. The service was a disgrace, even worse because the person i spoke to when i booked did not record our booking. I'm just glad we did not have to wait long to get our money back. Amoris guest house you can do better, train your workers to treat customers with respect and take them serious as well.

I was passing thru Pretoria to Kameelsdrift to another resort for my main stay. Amoris is a wonderful guesthouse that's put you back in touch with nature. Staff were so friendly and everything was just perfect from the linen to the shower facilities. I have attached pics of only the outside.

This place is beautiful and in a quiet area. Koi pond, outside area beautiful rooms. When I was searching for accommodation for 3 days, this place stood out. The price was right and it was close enough to where I had to be. I phoned and asked if they have a restaurant on the premises, because I need to eat breakfast and dinner there. I was assured that there was. So I booked. Came here, friendly people and the room was beautiful. There is a kettle in the room, but no refreshments (coffee, tea, milk, sugar) with it. They don't have soap, shampoo or any of those toiletries in the bathroom. The duvet on my bed looks like a double bed duvet on a king size bed. The fridge in the room make such noises at night that you can't sleep. Looking forward to breakfast, this is seperate from the room price. R100 for breakfast and R140 for dinner (photo). Look at the menu, what! How can you charge R100 for that breakfast, but I'm hungry, so let's eat. This is now at 7:00 in the morning. Want to order, sorry mam, breakfast is Finished. Okay, no problem. Left for the day, came back that evening. Ordered take aways from night 1, ask to buy water, sorry they don't sell water or any drinks. Day 3 the morning asked them to please prepare curry and rice for me for that evening for 18:00. That evening, got to reception asked if my food was ready, yes mam. No table set up, so I asked where I must eat, in the kitchen? Yes, or if you want to here.. Shocked by the answer I sat in the kitchen, neat and tidy I must say. Got my food (foto), what a disgrace. Full plate of rice, few pieces of meat (if you see meat, you win a price) mostly bones, no gravy. I refused to eat that, the chef came to my room, how disappointed I was in this place. I asked the receptionist who owns this place, she said: "Oh, it's a Nigerian renting it". I'm sorry sir, if this is how you run a Guest House, you...

At first the reception was untidy on arrival., we waited a long time before were helped., they did not even know about the booking we made. I called earlier the morning and asked if I can make a eft payment, He say I must come and pay at reception. When I wanted to pay with my debit card I was told that the machine was faulty I had to pay cash. I had no cash with me, so I suggested I pay immediately a eft payment as soon as I am in the room. We where escourted to the room the carpets are dirty the room does not smell nice. There was no milk, coffee or tea? so I aked. After a while there was a knock on the door, a guy with milk, coffee and tea. The excuse was there was no stock earlier today? The man stood with the card machine and said I must pay, the machine is now ready? I was already in my bank to eft., so I canceled the eft and pay with my card. I asked the guy who is the owners, his answer was, he does not know who the owners are and he does not know if is a women or a man? Bathroom sink had no soap. Sorry that it is in the beautiful environment that the service and neatness are not good at all.The parking lot is supposed to be marked, but the figures are so broken. We came from barnyeard that night and we should have parked properly somewhere else pressed...

To Whom it may concern

I booked into the Guest House at Amoris on Thursday 3 June. On arrival I was told there was no booking for Mrs T Gilbert. Only when I presented Moses with an email of confirmation of my booking could he book us into our room. Room no 1. Your communication is very poor. It was not relayed from Head Office to the Pretoria Amoris that there was a booking. Let me say there was one Positive aspect of this whole episode. Moses who was at Reception was very kind and assisted me and the other lady with me. He went the exta mile. BUT here comes the unpleasant experience. I believe the cost of R700 for one night was exsurbatent. 2 . The ascetics of the building is lovely but the service was very poor. You offered tea and coffee in the room However there was NO MILK AVAILIBLE in the room. On inquiring from the front desk we were told: " there is no milk available". There were only 1 (one) Wine glass and 1 "juice" glass AND No teaspoons. The expectation was there that "we can switch on the "electric blanket" and get into a snag and warm bed. BUT ALAS that was not true. Some of the furnisher was broken and a danger to sit on.

Trusting you will consider in the vain it was written in.

Yours...
