GaDuTe Luxury Guesthouse — Hotel in Gauteng

We had an awful experience at GaDute. We had to pack up and leave soon after arriving. I had an asthma attack as soon as I went upstairs into the bedroom. I am allergic to dustmite. The owner came by while I was having the attack and she herself said I could not sleep there as clearly something is triggering the attack. We had already paid in full and had to look for other accomodation for the duration of our stay. We stayed at two other Guesthouses that weekend (as not one of them could help for all 3 nights). I had no attacks at either of them! We sleep in Pta a lot for the kids sport. The owner insits that the problem is not on their side and refuses to refund us. I understand a Non Refund policy (IF YOU CANCEL) nut what if the accomodation gives you an asthma attack because of dust in the curtains/furniture/carpet/hats on thr wall/art decorations? According to the owner they did a proper investigation and found no fault.

Another thing that bothered us and our kids where the noises they could hear through the wall (talking and coughing) I assume it is the owner's house joined to the downstairs area. In the kitchen there is a door, locked with about 4 or 5 different locks and a broom keeping it from opening, I did not even ask what that was about but the kids were too scared to sleep downstairs with the noises and that door! I was privileged to come accross this gem GaDuTe Luxury Guest House in Garsfontein, Pretoria. Tucked away in a quiet Cul-de-sac, away from heavy traffic. My first impression was "WOW"!!!
