Grand View Bed & Breakfast — Hotel in Gauteng

After a booking at another hotel in Braamfontein didn't work out, my colleagues and I arrived at Grand View's doorstep with the hope of finding rooms on a Sunday afternoon. The staff were very helpful and friendly and we were booked in in no time.

Accommodation is very affordable. The rooms, and the guesthouse in general was very clean and neat.

It should be noted that they only make cereal available for breakfast and that (instant)coffee and tea is only available in the kitchen, and not in the rooms, nor did the rooms have fridges. For us it wasn't a problem really, as we just needed a place to sleep for a couple of nights.

The area (Brixton)felt much quieter and safer than the other suburbs in the surrounding area.

Lastly, the name is very fitting as the view of Sandton and surround areas are stunning from the guesthouse.

If I ever need a place to stay in the area again, I will definitely return. Good...

The place is horrible. I even had to leave early after moving rooms twice because the toilet wa not working in the first room I opted for. Now I had to pay more money to be given another room because I was not happy with the room I am was gonna spend 3nights in. The room I opted for had nothing. Just a bed, and was too small, Wi-Fi not working. The other room I moved to had a smaller bed and uncomfortable bed, the tv was not working and the room was not comfortable at all. I had to leave after two nights even when I paid for 3 nights. That’s how uncomfortable the place was. One thing they are good with is cleaning, but it’s not up...
