Guest House Macauly — Hotel in Gauteng

The staff were extremely attentive and helpful for my 1 night stay but this is cancelled out really by the difficult to reach location and the very small rooms with extremely thin walls. The bathroom in my "double" room was cramped and the shower was a struggle to even get to by squeezing past the toilet.||||The rea son I chose this is the reasonably close proximity to Soweto and the Orlando stadium as I was going watching the pirates, however if you are booking this guest house because it is cheap, that's a mistake as it is r150 for a taxi to get here.||||The staff though were lovely, helpful and seemingly very concerned that I was planning on a trip to Soweto alone, at night to watch the football! What impressed me was how clean and comfy were the rooms. The staff was delightful they actually make you feel as if you are family they gave us all local tips places to go things to do which was great. I fell in love with Gold reef city would loved to have stayed in their hotel but the prices I thought were ridiculous. Its not a fancy guesthouse but its clean and the room is comfortable, Cute breakfast in the morning first time I ate borewors not sure how you say it but it was delicious. I can honestly say I travel a lot and the service we got was unbelievable. We arrived really early and Sally let us check in and even gave us tips on how we could get round on a budget. She told us to go to Gold reef city great place a casino a resort we spent all day and it was great fun and then went to the casino. The double room was clean and serviced.
