(If one could give a zero rating, one would definitely give Ocean Basket South Gate a zero) The rubbery Seafood order had no flavour,not even a pinch of salt. 2.The 'Platter for 1' was burnt (at least Ocean Basket South Gate was kind enough to burn most of the rubbery seafood just to create a bit of flavour). Seafood was so horrendous one feared eating the Mussels (considering the dangers of consuming badly prepared mussels) The 2x 200g hake add ons were tasteless, rubbery, chewy and tough like a ameature first attempt at biltong making. Never in my many years of existence have I ever thought it would be possible to transform seafood into over cooked 'wheel and tyre' masquerading as beef. The seafood was so horrible eating ones belt, tyre from ones car or/and death from hunger would have been a better and healthier decision What Ocean Basket South Gate has done to seafood is so impossible and unnatural, there is no way one would not question their sanity. (There is no way seafood can be so bad) Seriously, there is no way seafood can exist in such a ground breaking state of horribleness unless one had forcefully walked, defying all natural laws of existence, into an alternative Dimension where horrible seafood is the standard.

When teh food arrived were hungry and tired so i did nto pay much attention to the delivery.Its only when we started eating i realized we had not received the fish in the platter. So i pointed this out to him becuase the fish was for me. Wen he logged this with Ocean basket the reply was the order was delivered as per the request we need to look properly and not complain after eating the meal. Now I wopuld like to know why would my son or i complain that there is no fish if there was fish, why did we not choose the mussels or the prawns and say they were not in the dish. Those are the most expensive items in that meal. I eat fish on a regular basis at home that is cooked at home. We would not lie about something if it was in the platter. The place is halaal, but the service was not up to standard as the staff were more interested in chatting away to each other rather than checking in customers or even noticing that they were being called. When asked about their chips portion size, the response was that there was just 1 which was small (this is a lie and the portion is generous and this was to get the customer to spend on 2 portions instead of 1). The waiter could see my kids are very small, and 1 portion from them was more than enough to go between 2 kids with wastage. They also served expired juice which I brought to the managers attention who graciously did not charge for the item and promised to review the entire batch (which is the main reason I pointed it out).
