Ikaze Guestlodge — Hotel in Gauteng

One of my worst experiences; first I get a call on the morning of the booking that the prize is R400 more than what was on the website; after a few words I promise to bring confirmation proof.Then we arrive, only to be told the place is fully booked so we have been moved to another guest house in the area. I am already agitated because I feel the guest house is forcing me to stay at a place that was not my choice. What I din't know was that the worst was to come; we get to the B&B and we are told the booking is only up to Friday as they have their own guests from Friday! This is despite the fact that I made my booking, and got confirmation, in August! We are then offered some old rooms "upstairs", rooms that haven't been used in ages, with very noisy wooden stairs and floors! Thanks to Helen from Willows for coming to our rescue, my guests were given a room there. Ikaze you will need to improve, otherwise like this you will not go far! So I started my stay in. CELL. A stark little room 2.5 X 3.5m. Smaller than a Road Lodge bathroom. After querying this, I was told that they were getting lots of guests tomorrow, and that the rooms had already been prepared for them. Eventually I was moved to a larger room.||This place was dark and cold. Out of the 11 available lights in the room, 3 worked. The bathroom was so dark, I couldn't see my face in the mirror.||The TV remote was nowhere to be found. At least the free wifi worked. ||Breakfast was also not great. No set tables. Cold fried eggs that spear to have been fried last night, and a cold processed chicken thing that was dry and awful.||I think there are way better options around. I won't be staying...

My friends husband to be booked for her and 2 friends as they were getting married the 27th of August 2022 at Summer Place . No soap or showergel in bathrooms. When confirming the time breakfast would be served. The person in charge knew nothing about it. The extravagant continental breakfast that was promised consisted if 2x eggs, 2 thin sausages, baked beans and a slice of tamato. Served on our plates? We also had to toast our own bread and ask for jam. We had to ask for fruit juice. No fruit or Yogurt No tea or coffee in room as promised and no glasses for water. The owner should send the staff for training on what a continental breakfast looks like. No quality control. I will never recommend...
