PALMAR APARTMENT HOTELS — Hotel in Gauteng

🙄🤔 Pros: Hot water shower with good water pressure. Nicely tiled, newly painted, clean, pest free units. Convenient to airport. Excellent bakery nearby.

Cons: SERIOUS SAFETY CONCERNS. Three unknown male adults attempted to enter the unit, at night, using a key while my elderly mother was in the apartment. The reason given to us was that there were some guests that arrived late and they must have been lost and tried at the wrong apartment. With the correct keys in hand, this sounded like a flimsy excuse... No light in walk ways, between or in front of buildings. Uneven walk ways and paths. No burglar bars, so one can not safely open windows. The front door could only close when locked. The kettle did not work properly and the one drawer in the kitchen did not close. No microwave. FOUR guests received one (old, torn, stiff) towel to share. No towel rack or railing in the bathroom. No space to hang or place items in bathroom. No mirror in bathroom. No reading lamps. Spotty, limited Wi-Fi. Definitely not suitable for elderly or physically challenged individuals.

This is a cozy place however the admin staff at the front desk either need training or needs to be replaced. No way of talking. Blame games are compulsory with them. Instead of solving the problem,they rather blame the person who is off duty. Instead of giving us the management contact details,security was called to remove us from the office. You guys website does not work and the only contact number for this hotel is the direct number for the receptionist who is rude and then cut the call on us and we did try from a few different numbers.
