Hlangana Lodge — Hotel in George

This is such a peaceful little place in oudtshoorn.

Peace and quiet is something we like, upon check in we found out we got a complimentary upgrade, which was fantastic.

The rooms are very well done in modern especially the rooms we were in that still seem quite new.

We also got a complimentary sparkling wine as it was our anniversary.

The gardens are very well kept in very beautifully kept.

You may have a couple of cats around that do wonder in sometimes but I do believe they are the next door neighbours cats.

Breakfast was also nice enough, but the kitchen stuff should come to the tables asking if you would like any hot meals not to you going to them as is the case as sometimes they only come out of the back room every so often.

Minion was extremely friendly checking us in and made our stay wonderful over all and is a credit to your establishment.

If we ever need to stay in Oudtshoorn again I would definitely consider this...

The service at this lodge was outstanding. We received a welcome drink on arrival. A lot of help with picking and booking restaurants in the local area. They were friendly and welcoming making us feel at home. The rooms were lovely, although the bathroom was not quite as attractive and the shower pressure was not ideal. I believe they are doing some refurbishment to the rooms so this may all be different in a few weeks time. Check in was welcoming and met with a drink when we'd finished putting our luggage in our room. Trying to sleep at night time is difficult as all the lights are left on overnight and the blinds in the rooms aren't thick enough to block light out. If your going to leave them on for security maybe Install good block out curtains. My son and husband were met with cold water when they went to have showers on our second night. There had been a lot of check ins that day. If your going to have all rooms full, you need a better hot water system so everyone can have a hot shower if they so desire.
